1. She has SO MANY GOOD SONGS, but ultimately I'm gonna have to give this to "Independence Day". Songs like "Whatever You Say", "Anyway", or "Wild Angels" may come close, but I feel like they will ultimately fall short due to either lack of passion or too much negative passion. And great songs that deserve it, like "Phones Are Ringin'", will not be well-known enough to pull it off. 2. This one is even harder... Lol I honestly don't dislike a single option Maybe one of the Dave Stewart duets. Probably "Every Single Night", because her part is small in that one, and the song itself is SO polarizingly not-country compared to anything else here. (Personally I think that's an awesome song, but also really hard to rank in the context of her discography.) 3. Four. "Still Holding On", "Chances Are", "Never Loved Before", and "On My Own". Five if you consider "Tryin' To Find A Reason" to be a duet. 4. "O Holy Night" will land between #42 and #47. 5. This is tough because every album has at least one song that is likely to do pretty well. Like even though Waking Up Laughing was a flop of an album singles-wise, you still have "Anyway" which is more or less a lock for the top 10. I guess I'll say Everlasting will probably be the first to lose all. But I also wouldn't be surprised if we are down to the top 30 and every album still has at least one song 6. Evolution, probably. 7. "Every Single Night", "All Messed Up", or "That Old Flame". I'll still stick with ESN. "Marry Me" will perform miserably as well, but might be able to muster enough strength to beat at least a couple of these. 8. Hell, I don't know. "That's Me"?

On second thought, "On My Own" might not be able to escape the bottom-20. It is an awesome song and all, but in a list as strong as this one, there is not a lot of room for a song that is primarily by another artist with 3 featured artists...

I didn't participate but I'm going to guess A Broken Wing will be #1. Independence Day at #2. And then Wild Angels for the surprise #3!

1 - What song will be #1? Independence day. It's her signiture song, it's the song LBT preforeme for her on ACM girls night out, it's the essential part of her concerts and it's overall an awesome song, so it sure deserves to win.
2 - What song will be #70? One of the duets or one of the covers
3 - How many duets will survive the bottom 20? I guess 2 or 3. I'm not big fan of her duets. Some colaborations had huge potentials but they manage to pick horrible songs.
4 - About where will the lone Christmas song "O Holy Night" land? Hopefully in bottom 10, but with all the praise it recived in this thread probably somewhere around 30.
5 - What will be the first album to see all its singles be eliminated first? Everlasting
6 - Which album will be the last to be down to 2 singles left? Evolution
7 - What will be the first duet out? Every single night
8 - What will be the first solo single out? I am not sure which songs in this rankdown were singles - and i am to lazy to look on wikipedia ;) so i can't answer this question.

I'm heading to work shortly but before I go something I'm gonna do is a spotlight on each of the albums and any tracks that people voted for that did not make it onto the Album Track Top 10 will be showcased here. So let's start with the album that started it all: THE TIME HAS COME
Released: May 12th, 1992
Tracklisting: 1 ~ The Time Has Come 2 ~ That's Me 3 ~ True Blue Fool 4 ~ Losing You Feels Good 5 ~ Walk That Line 6 ~ Cheap Whiskey 7 ~ I Can't Sleep 8 ~ A Woman Knows 9 ~ The Rope 10 ~ When You Are Old
The album peaked at #49 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. It saw 3 singles get released: "The Time Has Come", "That's Me" and "Cheap Whiskey".
Only 2 songs from this album have appeared on another. "The Time Has Come" was on her Essential Hits collection and "When You Are Old" was reprised on her My Heart collection she did with Hallmark. More on both of those later.
Album was produced by Paul Worley and Ed Seay
One of the background performers on the album is Garth Brooks who Martina worked for selling merch prior to this album coming out, she would later open for him.
Both "When You Are Old" and "Cheap Whiskey" would later be recorded by other acts associated with the songwriters. "When You Are Old" was recorded by its songwriter Gretchen Peters for her The Secret of Life album. "Cheap Whiskey" would see a bluegrass remake by Patty Loveless on her Mountain Soul, Patty is married to one of the songwriters on this song; Emory Gordy, Jr.
"A Woman Knows"
Ranks: .indulgecountry ~ 8
"A Woman Knows" is the 8th track on Martina's first album. It was written by Chris McCarty, Allen Spears and John Fowler.

1 - What song will be #1? A Broken Wing or Independence Day.
2 - What song will be #70? Tough call but probably one of the Dave Stewart songs (even though I really like them both). Would prefer Marry Me--did not love her cover.
3 - How many duets will survive the bottom 20? None.
4 - About where will the lone Christmas song "O Holy Night" land? Bottom 10.
5 - What will be the first album to see all its singles be eliminated first? Everlasting or Timeless probably.
6 - Which album will be the last to be down to 2 singles left? Evolution
7 - What will be the first duet out? Hope it's Marry Me.
8 - What will be the first solo single out? Where I Used to Have a Heart? No idea on this one

I'd like to apologize in advance to the people predicting "A Broken Wing" could be the winner of this... I think it'll be "Independence Day" probably because it seems like the safe bet. Beyond that though I honestly have no idea what else would be a possible contender for the top. I feel like this RD will be rather unpredictable.

I didn't really have the energy to go through the albums so I just listened to "I Don't Want To See You Again" and "Learning to Fall" for the first time. Both are great tracks, but I really love the former! If that one was in the rankdown, I probably would've put it in the top 20.

getting ready to post #70 but first though the least I can do is tell you all my thoughts on the three album tracks thus far
"A Woman Knows" - so I do think that Martina's first album is full of gems and I will state that other than the 4 tracks that made the Top 70 this is the only song we will highlight from that album unfortunately. I really wanted to add others but no one voted for any including myself. "Losing You Feels Good", "I Can't Sleep" and "The Rope" are great and worth checking out if you like the 5 you will hear during this. Anyways, this song is really great and definitely glad it made it onto the list.
"I Don't Want To See You Again" has always been a favorite of mine. I actually had a list of like 30 or 40 songs from her entire catalog that I really wanted to vote for and this is one of them. Evolution is my favorite album of hers because I literally like every song on that album minus like one song, but this song is really great and Martina's vocals on this is incredible.
lastly, I did vote "Learning To Fall" because I have always felt that song was one of the strongest songs on that album and still to this day am upset that it was never a single.
alright #70 is up next. Can you guess what it is?

I opted out of doing an album tracks list since I just recently starting looking at all of her albums; I already own Wild Angels and Evolution and am familiar with Shine, but that's about it. I definitely would've included "I Don't Want to See You Again" and a few others from that album.
I'm thinking a cover will go first.
