It bothers me 'cause in the general sense her music with The Scene is all s**t. Only a few singles from the Scene era are any good, and there's only one of those good ones left. :sip2:

3. A Year Without Rain
Points: 278 Average: 9.586 SD: 6.780”A Year Without Rain” was released on September 7, 2010, as the second single from Selena’s second album, which is its namesake and was released two weeks later. The song is a Eurodance ballad about being away from the one you love. Like its predecessor “Round & Round”, the song was well received and debuted in the Top 40 of the Hot 100. However, unlike “Round & Round”, “A Year Without Rain” was never sent to radio. It performed very well on Radio Disney, but never saw the mainstream light of day. Despite this, it outsold “Round & Round”, went Platinum, and remains one of her most highly regarded singles. The deluxe edition of the album features a Spanish language version of the song.Charts:Australia: #78 Belgium: #3 Bulgaria: #3 Canada: #30 Czech Republic: #41 Germany: #56 Slovakia: #41 UK: #78 US Billboard Hot 100: #35 US Dance Club Songs: #1 1. Really beautiful song. She sounds great, the lyrics are really relatable, it has a very pleasant melody throughout, and goddamn does she slay in the video That said, I do get the complaints about the production being underdone.

"Love You Like A Love Song" for #1 please.
That would have been an easy Top 3 for me, with potential to go #1.

I'm so happy that "A Year Without Rain" finished this high! It's really nice to know this was so well-liked by everyone (well maybe except for several people) :)

I'm so happy that "A Year Without Rain" finished this high! It's really nice to know this was so well-liked by everyone (well maybe except for several people) :) That was the first song of hers that really got me to take notice of her. I heard a club remix of it by Eric Kupper before I heard the original. It's a light, airy Frankie Knuckles-esque mix.

Top 2! The #2 song has a 33 point lead over "A Year Without Rain". But the #1 song has a 23 point lead over #2. So while #3-8 have been an absolute shitshow (only 26 points separate them), these two developed pretty comfortable leads after a while. However, they both held the #1 overall spot at one point. One of them is also the lowest SD in the Top 10.
It's time!

So either walker successfully tanked LYLALS, or there's nothing he could have done.

I'm still surprised this made the Top 10, even the Top 3. As I mentioned before, "A Year Without Rain" is a cute track, but there are so much better songs from her (solo stuff) over this in my opinion.
Anyway, I like "Un Año Sin Lluvia" too, which is the Spanish's track title, but I prefer in its original version of course. At least, this version is better than "Dices" ("Who Says") though~

Whew! Good to see the rain drop Cutesy and I could've probably ranked it a bit higher, but the more I listened to it I just felt it was too simple / samey samey. It was also one of the first songs I dug from her so I can appreciate that, plus its Spanish version was quite good. Anyway. In the end I still have my #1 and #3!

2. Love You like a Love Song
Points: 245 Average: 8.449 SD: 7.448”Love You like a Love Song” was released as the second single from her third album When the Sun Goes Down on June 17, 2011. However, it was initially released as a Radio Disney only single. After “Who Says” became a solid hit and sales of “LYLALS” held strong, it was officially sent out on August 17. It became a sleeper hit, and despite only peaking at #22 on the Hot 100, managed to be her first Top 10 Pop radio hit. This arguably the song that shifted Selena from Disney Star to Rising Pop Star. The 80s-inspired electropop song features funky beats and a repetition based chorus. The lyrics compare a great relationship to a catchy song that you play on repeat (title pretty much sums that up). The music video is inspired by Japanese karaoke, and received criticism by P!nk and other PETA supporters for its use of pink painted horses (don’t worry, it was a non-toxic powder).Charts:Belgium: #15 Brazil: #15 Canada: #10 Czech Republic: #13 Denmark: #31 France: #17 Hungary: #2 Mexico: #16 New Zealand: #21 Norway: #14 Russia: #1 Slovakia: #3 Ukraine: #4 US Billboard Hot 100: #22 US Adult Top 40: #13 US Dance Club Songs: #1 US Mainstream Top 40: #6 1. Sambalada27. @walker9 I’ll admit it’s really catchy and I love the verses and production, but I would like the song so much more if it had a much less grating chorus. I am thankful for it giving her a true breakthrough though. Actually, I chart watched this so closely that I actually made it #1 on my personal chart for a few weeks (would retroactively change that). Glad it missed #1, especially to the much better.... 1. Naturally
Points: 222 Average: 7.655 SD: 5.990”Naturally” was a song from Selena’s debut album Kiss & Tell. It was easily the most popular song from the album, so it became a Radio Disney single. Christmas sales propelled it to a #39 debut on the Hot 100 (yes, a full two months after the album came out), way ahead of previous single “Falling Down”. Continually great sales pushed Hollywood Records to release it as Selena’s first ever official Pop Radio single on February 1, 2010. The song became a nice sized hit, working its way into the Top 30 on the Hot 100 and falling just short of the Top 10 on Pop (a pretty big deal for a Disney artist… only Miley Cyrus had done it in recent years). There was no way a song like this wasn’t going to stand out. Smack in the middle of Selena’s almost exclusively pop-rock album is an electropop jam with a radio-tailored chorus and incredibly relatable lyrics? Yeah, that’ll do it. This was the song to make Selena noticed by non-Disney Channel viewers. And as this rankdown has demonstrated, it led to so many great things. But in the end, the song that started it all still remains her brightest gem. Congratulations, “Naturally”!!Charts:Austria: #37 Belgium: #7 Bulgaria: #13 Canada: #18 Chile: #7 Czech Republic: #39 Euro Hot 100: #19 Germany: #14 Hungary: #4 Ireland: #7 New Zealand: #20 Scotland: #20 Slovakia: #2 Spain: #36 Taiwan: #2 UK: #7 US Billboard Hot 100: #29 US Dance Club Songs: #1 US Mainstream Top 40: #12 1. nick641. .indulgecountry1. @mirza 1. †ealsünset1. fearlessarrow1. @walker9 2. zaclord 🌈3. Raccoon14. woods15. aerodynamite15. jtd Thee Stallion16. Az Paynter20. Normi22. alexcuseThis isn’t just my favorite Selena Gomez song. This is one of my favorite songs of the decade. The production is so slick and cool, her vocals fit it perfectly, the lyrics are great, and the chorus is one of the strongest I’ve heard in a long time. And it actually means a lot to me. My obsession with this back in 2010 (I watched Disney Channel at the time, and this video played A LOT) led me to look up music charts for the first time. “Naturally” is a big part of why I’m on this board right now able to host a rankdown of the legacy it started. I’m so beyond ecstatic that it managed to get the #1. I just never get sick of this song. Loving it just comes naturally :)

Yes, without @walker9's submission, "Love You like a Love Song" would have been #1. So on that note... God bless you @walker9
"Naturally" had the most #1 votes with six. It had the second highest "lowest vote" (if that makes sense) behind "Hit the Lights" which had a low of #20.
"Love You like a Love Song" managed #2 with just one #1 vote. It even held the top spot for a short time.

What the actual fuck? Like, I really enjoy the song and everything, but I was definitely not expecting it to win, or even be top three. This is crazy. Also, like, it's not even that good. Like it's just a carbon copy of "See You Again." I mean, obviously I enjoy the song, but for it to be ahead of Rain, Love Song, Hands, Good for You, etc. is just... wrong.

Naturally is very fun for me, meanwhile songs LYLALS, HTM, and CAGI are very very annoying for me, and GFY is so boring.
Honestly I was expecting Same Old Love to win this whole thing, but I was way wrong. I didnt think that Naturally would have won myself. Thought that it would be top 5.

Here is the link to my spreadsheet: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kK_T1Q-6aoI0IOI_hKkyQuG1lU0jHhy7LFtv7NDDI5c/edit?usp=sharing
The second page includes the votes for top album tracks. However, only four of us submitted So that didn't go anywhere.
Thank you so much to everyone that participated!! I love hosting rankdowns, and being able to host one for one of my all time favorites has just been a blast (wait till Demi starts y'all, prepare yourselves!)!
Now go buy "Fetish" on iTunes!

Nah, Same Old Love is too polarizing to win. I really figured Come & Get It, Love Song, or Good for You were going to win with Rain having an outside chance.
