Speaking of streaming, Mrs. Taylor Swift has released her music back to Spotify and discounted her albums....the same day Witness dropped, petty and I love it. oh lordy

I think many people put way too much importance on chart peak. I think a song like SYWLG peaking at #11 but with over 35 weeks total on the chart is much more admirable than a song like Ciara's Love Sex Magic reaching #10 but only spending 12 weeks, and will surely be the more memorable song throughout history. Of course longevity is better but a top 10 placement gets a song (and artist) extra exposure/media coverage especially if the artist is new (or new to the US like James Arthur)

Billboard itself reports the top 10 first and usually that's the only one that gets reported in other news outlets, so that alone is added exposure. If that's the first top 10 hit for the artist/act, they can maximize that by booking more gigs and be seen as the next big thing Examples I can think of having broader exposure when they hit the top 10 are Alessia Cara, Shawn Mendes and DNCE. Probably Camilla Cabello as well, when she had top 10 hit with Bad Things
Even for older acts who haven't hit the top 10 in years, the moment they land a top 10 again, their PR team can use that for a "comeback" campaign.
Of course it's not guarantee and even if a song is just near the top 10, they can still use that to fuel up exposure for the artist like Hailee Steinfeld and Julia Michaels

Pandora
44. Mask Off Remix (NEW)
That's about 2-3 million streams so Mask Off has a good chance to re-peak at #5 this week.

Katy, katy, katy. Swish Swish should get a large boost from the album release and video, Bon Appetit should re-enter as should Chained To The Rhythm.
Album tracks are likely, but low. I'm really digging Witness, Deja Vu, and Power, so I hope those all enter high. Unlikely tho.
Of course Bieber dropped another track and it went to #1 on iTunes, I swear this guy, anything he touches goes to #1.
And Taylor's Pettiness releasing all of her discography on Spotify same day as Witness.
Exciting week, let's hope this shakes up the charts a bit.

Humble is stronger than any of us thought, but as soon as its sales die down and its radio reverts to the mean for a hip-hop song, it'll die down quite considerably. TWIL is bleeding slowly so idk how fast it will fall, but with Humble looking to go down soon, I feel like mask off might achieve a new peak either in the coming weeks, or if future is lucky, this next week (6/24.)

So much so that its total AI is actually higher than SOY. The only thing missing at this point is Country.

Think of Shape of You stuck at no.2 in airplay songs for 5 weeks in a row... If there's no TWIL Shape of You could literally tie the airplay record of 18 weeks no.1 with Iris since this week it's not gonna drop from no.2 I think...

Bieber had his first #1 in 2016 and he's already had five since. At this rate he very well could snatch the record for the decade, which would be insane given the time of his first #1

only #8 in debut week doesn't spell well for a top10 entry

I don't know if it was below #100 last week or if it's entirely new. Looks like all the big releases debut one or two weeks later than usual on Pandora.
