Has anyone heard the Chris Cox megamix that is featured on the UK single CD1? It features Baby One More Time / You Drive Me Crazy / I'm A Slave 4 U / Outrageous / Oops! I Did It Again / Stronger / Everytime / Overprotected / Toxic. I was wondering if he just incorporated remixes that were already done (like he did with Janet) or if he made his own remixes. The megamix should also appear on the second cd of her greatest hits.

When he did Janet Jackson he made all the remixes for it, most were touched up originals he changed the basslines for. The Britney Spears megamix is the same but a bit less dancey, mostly originals, but hes done them all himself and changed them up quite nicely. The Remix is 5:14 long and you can get versions off winmx that sound like crap, or you can go buy the single like I did.

There are a lot of megamixes people have created and are listing them as the official one all over the internet. Most of them are not that good. The Janet one Chris Cox did was sooo much better. I liked how he used a bunch of remixes for the hi-nrg songs. For the Britney one, originals were only used. Britney has done sooo many remixes, couldn't he have just used some of those?

First of all, he didn't use other remixes, just like in Janet, because if he DID, it wouldn't be HIS remix. And they aren't originals anyways, he did remix them. But the Britney Megamix was done for a greatest hits album for Britney fans, people buying the cd don't want to hear remixes or they would buy a remix album, they like Britney for the way she sounds, hence why he kept her sound. The Janet Megamix was done for a club remix single, which is why it had more of a clubby dance sound to it, again because people in clubs want to hear remixes.

The Van Helden and X-Press 2 mixes are now up at iTunes. Judging by these posts, guessing nobody's interested ;)
The megamix is good but it drives home how striking the similarities in some Britney songs.
I'd actually LOVE there to be a full Britney remix album. She has enough, and i'd buy it (as long as she doesn't include "Outrageous" on it...i refuse to buy anything that gives money to R. Kelly)

Lenny Bertoldo didn't do the Phunkstar Mix. That is the LB phunkstar mix, done by the remix factory for DMC. Lenny Bertoldo did his own totally different remix for it that was not accepted onto the single.

I LOVE the JJ Flores Radio Mix....it's so HOTT!!!
So DJ Amokk...the LB Phunkstar Mix isn't Lenny? Then what does Lenny's sound like? Kinda makes me happy because I wasn't too fond of the LB Phunkstar Mix...one of the weaker mixes in my opinion.

Nope, the LB Phunkstar mix isn't Lenny. Although, the LB Phunkstar mix is my favorite out of all of them, its full of energy and fun, not down tempo and dark. The JJ Flores remix to me, sounds like they fed britney stereoids and remixed it while hung over and half asleep. The Lenny Bertoldo remix is much like the original only faster. So, the fact that it didn't make it onto the single should tell you how it sounds.
