Fans should stop buying her makeup if they want new music... Yeah, no. Her makeup brand isn't only being purchased by her music fans. Fenty has become one of the most successful and we'll known makeup brands out there. There's likely heaps of people purchasing it that have no desire to listen to her music.

She’s out here telling y’all to fuck off. There really is no money in making new music other than touring, so she doesn’t have to make another album if she doesn’t want to make one. Why would she need to tour or make another album when her Fenty line accommodates for more than enough revenue? Good luck cancelling her 😂 as stated it won’t work.

Rihanna is her own boss and music can be a hobby from now on if that’s what she wants. But if I’m a fan, I’m still holding my coins until she dishes out new music. I believe in reciprocal relationships

Why would she need to tour or make another album when her Fenty line accommodates for more than enough revenue? Good luck cancelling her 😂 as stated it won’t work. Because she's supposed to be an artist as in feeling the desire to express herself in the form of an art, in her case music. If the real reason she may not be interested in music anymore is simply because it's not profitable enough for her standards that means she was never in it for the love of music but for the money and the superficiality that comes with being a popstar. Which is fine but as a 15-year-long fan it's hugely disappointing. With that being said, I definitely don't want a rushed album or even an album in general if she's not fully behind it.

Maybe she doesn’t love music anymore. Maybe she loves the creativity of her Fenty line now. Interests change.

"Art" takes many forms, for one. She also released a lot of music in a short time, and many artists scale way back after so many albums (and/or in their 30s).

Rihanna doesn’t owe anyone anything. Who else can release albums 7 years years straight without going mentally ill?

The argument that Rihanna only made music for the money is laughable, there are dozen of interviews where she has stated her love for music. Just because it isn't her number one priority now doesn't mean she doesn't/never liked making music. She is expressing herself creativity in a variety of different ways now. The music will come when it comes. She actually confirmed that she will be in the studio on valentines day with Pharrell.

I'm sure she'll still make music but she won't have to tour, she's earning tons of money from Fenty brand.

This thread is always the same cycle of "we need new music!" until some smart ass comes and says that she owes people nothing.
Sure Karen, but at least stop teasing new music, giving us a release year that obviously didn't happen and maybe just say "I've moved on from music for the foreseeable future".
I've made my peace with it but I don't blame people who are impatient. 4 years is an eternity in the streaming era.
Anyways stream ANTI.

Rihanna fans were spoiled in the 00s and early 10s when Rihanna would put new music out every year. I miss those days. I have heard that she wants to take her time to make albums so they are better and go many singles deep. But you guys are probably right that with the Fenty line music doesn't have to be her number one priority.

It's also that most of us either don't have access to her myriad of other products (expensive) or straight up aren't in the target demo (makeup in my case, for example), so it's harder to stay involved in her new ventures when the content just isn't there. If she was doing something a bit more universal like, say, movies, a TV show or even something like a podcast (think Queen Radio), people would probably calm down a bit about music.

Happy 32nd Birthday Rihanna!
It's hard to believe she is only 32 when she has been in the spotlight since what feels like forever.

She truly did serve us the “CIVIL RIGHTS SPEECH” of the new millennium, didn’t she?
All she needed to say was “Let Freedom Reign...” and the entire United States would’ve had to bow!
The Trump Administration are SHAKING!
My Queen. 🙌🏿😭🙏🏿🙏🏿😭🙌🏿

Question: has Rihanna ever directed one of her music videos? She co-directed BBHMM with Megaforce.

I played Rated R this morning and I fell in love again! I would definitely rate it as one of her best (if not her best). I love her shit talking but also showing her vulnerable side. The only song I skip is Stupid In Love.
