Fantastic start! Sent! The race for my #1 was difficult. The race for my #40... yeah, that was easy. What the f**k even is my #40? ^This again. This song is probably one of the worst things I've ever heard.

I remember that era of pop music pretty damn well (the only other song I don't remember in this rankdown is "Lost in This Moment"), yet I honestly don't ever recall hearing this song before this rankdown. Good riddance.

Imma do bad in this rankdown since I have a lot of urban songs in top 20 lol. My last place could be in the top 5. I always hated that song a lot. When it gets revealed I will explain why.

I wish that pred participated so that someone else could have ranked it in the top half lol. Lol I never even heard of that or a lot of others on here. But if there's a 2005 YE or something I'd be tempted to do it since there's one specific Urban song on there I really love.

So, how is this catchy? This is just obnoxious, it's like Fergie's obnoxiousness of London Bridge, made for Hispanics in SoCal. It's not the worst thing, but it's still pretty awful.

You know what we should be doing; we should have a rankdown of all 130 #1s of the 2000s, from Smooth to Empire State Of Mind.

Besides, if my first rankdown was to be 130 #1s of the last decade I would be unfit to do so, and I would have, quite honestly (And quite jokingly) have shot myself trying to calculate those numbers.

Better to do it the way max did Canadian artists. Have 130 but we can only pick 50 to rank from 50 to 1.

Thanks, although I might still delegate it to someone else since I don't know yet if or when I'll be able to host it. And yeah, a rankdown that big would be very cumbersome, especially for someone with no hosting experience. That's why I wanted to start out with something that included only 40 songs: so that I can ease my way into it and be better prepared to handle longer lists in the future. ETA: I'm with walker; I much prefer the pick-50 idea.

To be honest, I didn't even listen to Lean Like A Cholo I just randomly put it there. I wish I did though. It 100% would have been my 40. I didn't have time to listen to it.

The next two songs to be revealed also possess the two next lowest standard deviations of the game.
#39 received two top 20 ranks and two #40's.
#38 has the lowest maximum rank, #20, and landed at the bottom of four lists.

I have no response for this at all. If I wanted a song with the title 2 Step in it, go listen to 1, 2, Step by Ciara and Missy Elliot, that is some good crunk&B.

Jeez, was urban rap/hip-hop that bad in the mid/late 2000s? Well then again, it was in the transitional era when crunk was morphing into club music, and it was dark and edgy because, well of course it was, it was 2007.
