12. "Woo" by: Rihanna Easily the most successful artist to show up so far on the rankdown (she might be rivaled by one other artist?), Rihanna's "Woo" finds itself in the rankdown! "Woo" is an album track from her latest album Anti, but never really got much attention. Anti was a solid album, but I thought this was one of the low points of the album. It'll be interesting to see how this does in the rankdown due to Rihanna's popularity, but this isn't one of her bests that could have appeared. This was a horrible hint in hindsight. I should have put 'Hoo!' as the hint. Oops. Tags - if you would like to be added to the tag list for the song reveal, let me know! lyhom YotamTS willapted33 Leo ✔ born

13. "Morocco" by: Moon Taxi "Morocco" is the lead single to Moon Taxi's album Mountains Beaches Cities. They have only charted on Triple A charts, but this didn't chart anywhere. Despite little chart success, they have had some decent success through Spotify. This has 6,000,000+ plays through the platform, and their current single "Two High" has 16,000,000+ and has been featured in their Today's Top Hits playlist. Their time might actually come fairly soon for some more success. I discovered this one because of Spotify, but their song "Red Hot Lights". I was checking out the rest of their music and I loved this one. Have fun with your first listens everybody! This hint alludes to both their band and the song. 'Here' was to refer to Morocco, while 'moon' and 'cab' should be self-explanatory. Green Baron probably had a better guess than the actual song haha. This would have been a much better hint for "Black Sun" by: Death Cab for Cutie, lol. 14. "Lookin' Like That" by: Jordan Fisher "Lookin' Like That" is the second single from Jordan Fisher. This one didn't do all that much on radio, as it peaked somewhere in the mid 30s. This did fairly well on our Danger Zone for Pop 2016, so this does have its fans here. This is pretty lowkey bop that should have done much better on radio than it did. Even "All About Us" should have fared better. This was my answer to his question: "why you gotta look like that?" ;) Tags - if you would like to be added to the tag list for the song reveals, let me know! lyhom YotamTS willapted33 Leo ✔ born

15. "Dangerous" by: Shinedown "Dangerous" is from Shinedown's latest album Threat to Survival. This was an instant grat that came before the album release, but never saw release as a radio single sadly. This was far and away my favorite song from the album and I think this would have made a better single choice than nearly everything not named "Cut the Cord". They sadly didn't play this when I saw them live last week. This alludes to their biggest hit "Second Chance", which should have given you the artist. The 'dangerous' part refers to the song title. A good guess for "Second Chance" by Green Baron , but as Trump would say, "WRONG!" Tags - if you would like to be tagged for the song list reveal, let me know! lyhom YotamTS willapted33 Leo ✔ born

16. "Straight Through My Heart" by: Backstreet Boys "Straight Through My Heart" was released as the lead single to Backstreet Boys' seventh album This is Us, and second album to not feature Kevin Richardson. This one was produced by RedOne, so they were trying to make this a big hit with one of the game's hottest producers at the time. The song was a decent hit overseas, going Top 20 on quite a few charts, but in the US, it did basically nothing. It debuted and peaked at #10 on the Bubbling Under chart, and hit #18 on the Dance charts. I honestly loved this album and thought there were some big hits on it, but leaks ruined the album, as well as their popularity deeply fading. Another bad hint haha. 'The Boys' referred to the Backstreet Boys, while the rest of the line referred to the lyrics. 17. "She Got the Honey" by: Mat Kearney "She Got the Honey" is from Mat Kearney's fourth studio album Young Love. This album was the start to Mat's more poppier direction, as Young Love had more of a pop feel to it than his previous singer/songwriter styled records did. This one was never a single, but this was a huge bop. It's so cute. This question refers to the honey part, while the T part refers to Mat's name being spelled with only one T instead of the normal two. For those who don't know, it was an error on the nurse's part when she wrote out his birth name, but his parents decided to leave it and embrace it. 18. "Dirty Diana" by: Shaman's Harvest "Dirty Diana" was a single from Shaman's Harvest's album Smokin' Hearts and Broken Guns. If the title looks familiar to some, that's because it should! This is a hard rock cover of Michael Jackson's song from Bad. This version hit Top 30 on Active Rock in 2015, and was featured in the 2015 Active Rankdown previously. Pretty self-explanatory. Green Baron's guess at "Careless Whisper" by: Seether also worked, but it wasn't correct. Close, but no cigar. 19. "Oh My Heart" by: Night Riots "Oh My Heart" appears on Night Riots' EP Howl. This was a radio single that was sent to Alternative in 2015, but it only showed up inside the Top 50 for a little while before falling off the chart. This is probably my favorite song from them. Day is opposite of night, and Paramore had an album called Riot (hence the italicization of their name). 20. "Bittersweet" by: Zac Brown Band "Bittersweet" is from Zac Brown Band's album JEKYLL + HYDE. This was an album track, but a popular one here. When thinking for songs that could work on the Rock charts, this was one that was brought up. This is an insanely beautiful song. Just to give the fair warning for first time listeners, stick through the whole song. It's pretty slow to start, but it gets going around halfway through to be more rockier. This is one of my favorites lyrically from their album (behind "Junkyard"). The lyrics of this song speaks about the death of a friend's mother, so it's a pretty depressing track lyrically. 21. "White Limo" by: Foo Fighters #21 comes courtesy of the Foo Fighters. "White Limo" was the second song released from Wasting Light, and it was quite different than what most people were expecting. The video was low quality, the song was pure screaming, something not foreign to Foo Fighters, but definitely a different energy. It wasn't sent to radio, as it worked more as an album track with a music video. I suspect this one to have a high standard deviation depending on who participates in this. Most limos are black, or at least that I have seen. Tags - if you would like to be added to the tag list for the song reveals, let me know! lyhom YotamTS willapted33 Leo ✔ born

22. "Evolution" by: The Used "Evolution" by: The Used comes in at #22 for the rankdown. This was an album track from their latest album Imaginary Enemy. This song, like most of the album, is very politically infused. Most of it was inspired by the Bush administration, but the messages from the album could easily go hand-in-hand with Trump. Despite being a relatively heavier band, this one veers more on the pop side. This is one of my favorites from the album, so I hope y'all like it! The opening track to Imaginary Enemy is entitled "Revolution", so it's a bit funny they have another song a few songs down entitled "Evolution". 23. "Confused" by: SafetySuit What's a rankdown hosted by me without SafetySuit somehow being included? I wasn't really looking to use this rankdown as a way to show off SafetySuit, but here we are! Sadly, it's a song that was featured in the March Madness tournament. This one started off as one of my least favorite from the album, but it quickly grew on me to become one of my favorites from the album. Now, this should have been fairly easy for the band, as evident by the correct guesses from Green Baron, matteeeb, and born, but no one got the song correct. I guess I confused y'all!!! 24. "Without You" by: My Darkest Days The only song not to appear on the US Spotify is up! With songs like "Porn Star Dancing" and "Casual Sex", it's hard to imagine My Darkest Days writing anything of quality. "Without You" was only a Best Buy exclusive bonus track from the album, but it would honestly rank as Top 3 on the album. As terrible of lyrics MDD can write, their love songs were pretty solid, and this is no different. I have no shame in saying I really liked them. If the vocals sound familiar to you but you're not familiar with the band, lead singer Matt Walst is now the lead singer of Three Days Grace. This was a pretty 50/50 hint for My Darkest Days or Saint Asonia. The 'without' was supposed to allude to the title. Green Baron is wrong. 26. "Beautiful Like You" by: Lee DeWyze "Beautiful Like You" was the second single released from Lee DeWyze's first post-Idol album Live It Up. Like the lead single before it, it failed to gain any mainstream attention, and it did worse than "Sweet Serendipity". Lee ended up getting dropped from his label after the release of this single. I always liked Lee, and he has had some good stuff. I thought "Beautiful Like You" was a solid song, but the wrong single choice. "Me and My Jealousy" was the missed hit from the album, but "Beautiful Like You" was probably the #2 for me. Lee is the third talent show winner to appear on the rankdown. Like Phillip Phillips, he won American Idol, while Javier Colon won The Voice. 27. "Can't Deny My Love" by: Brandon Flowers The Killers frontman finds himself on the rankdown with the lead single to Brandon Flowers' second solo album The Desired Effect with "Can't Deny My Love". This one sadly didn't amount to much on the charts despite being a great song. It only hit the Top 40 on Alternative and quickly fell off. This is pure 80s, and it's a song I think should have been a huge hit. This was a pretty easy hint that was correctly guessed by Green Baron. Bravo! 28. "Church Bells" by: Carrie Underwood A Pulse darling appears on the rankdown, as Carrie Underwood finds herself on the chart with "Church Bells". She rivals Rihanna as the most successful artists on the rankdown, but there may be someone else to dethrone both of them. "Church Bells" was a #1 on Country, and hit #43 on the Hot 100. I think this has the potential to be the juggernaut of the rankdown. I also now just realized that she won American Idol, so we have four talent show winners. lmao oops. "Church Bells" talks about a woman marrying man with a lot of money, but he ends up being an abusive husband that she later kills. 29. "Chop Me Up" by: Justin Timberlake (feat. Timbaland & Three-6 Mafia) Arguably the most successful artist on the rankdown, Justin Timberlake places himself in the race with "Chop Me Up", an album track from FutureSex / LoveSounds. "Chop Me Up" wasn't among the highlights from the album, but it was a decent album track. Vince Offer was the spokesperson for the SlapChop. Dumb hint, but whatever lol. 30. "Born 2 Run" by: 7Lions Our final song is a song that probably no one knows! Who would've thought? 7Lions is a rock band with a rapper in it, kind of similar to Linkin Park. The verses are rap, but the chorus is rock. This was sent to Alternative radio back in 2012, and it does have a thread here, so there are some people that'll know it, but probably not the participants. This is a solid song. The lyrics in the chorus read: "if the sky turns black, it won't matter." You don't know me.
