kworb.net/pop/So In The End, Numb and Heavy are all in the top 5 on iTunes. But the biggest shock is Louis Tomlinson's newest song, Back To You (Featuring Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm) is also in the top 5.

Nah. 1D's fan base is strongly and every solo member had his song in the Top 5 so no surprises here

^Regarding the latter, probably so. We'll have to see how it holds up over the weekend to see whether it might be frontloaded or not in terms of digital sales.

I'm The One lost 50.77% of its Worlwide YouTube views this week. :o 3 Linkin Park song videos entered the top 10 for YouTube yesterday. Hard to say what happened in Spotify since I can't seem to find any daily updates for yesterday's data.

That isn't really considered his debut single by many I feel like many people will remember this as Louis' first real single

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/7873858/selena-gomez-demi-lovato-both-aiming-for-billboard-hot-100s-top-40Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato Both Aiming for Billboard Hot 100's Top 40By Gary Trust | July 20, 2017 Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato's latest singles could both be headed for the top 40 on next week's Billboard Hot 100 chart. On the Hot 100, which blends U.S. streaming, airplay and sales data, dated Aug. 5, Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry" and Gomez's "Fetish" (featuring Gucci Mane) should both make notable gains. The songs debuted at Nos. 52 and 92, respectively, on the chart dated July 29, based on initial, partial-week data following their respective July 11 and 13 releases. Following its first full week of activity, industry forecasters suggest that "Fetish" could sell around 30,000 downloads in the tracking week ending July 20. When finalized streaming (perhaps more than 12 million U.S. streams in the week ending July 20, according to Nielsen Music) and radio airplay (more than 1 million in all-format audience in the week ending July 23) are added to the mix, "Fetish" could reach the Hot 100's top 40. "Sorry" could likewise enter the Hot 100's top 40, also with forecasted sales of around 30,000. It could draw more than 10 million domestic streams and around 5 million in airplay audience in the tracking period. Highlights of next week's Hot 100 will post on Billboard.com Monday (July 24), with all charts updating online Tuesday.

Lol I'm being serious though. I thought that because of the death of Chester Bennington, more people would be viewing videos like Numb, In The End, Heavy and Crawling. And because of that, Despacito was under 20 million at one point this week. So why the fuck are more people viewing it now than earlier they were earlier this week? It should have gotten the treatment of falling in views, and maybe Numb or In The End would have taken #1.

It's neat how the three Disney starlets (Demi, Selena, Miley) all were inside the iTunes top ten at some point this past week, and now three 1D members are as well. The power of teenagers.

These 1-2% weekly drops for Despacito despite an airplay peak are seriously making me wonder what has a chance in hell of dethroning it before 15 weeks. I thought Taylor could do it, but now I'm not so sure. I'm starting to think it might dethrone PRA for the decade-end at this point. "PRA" sits at #1 for the decade? I would have thought "Uptown Funk" as it had more weeks at #1 but also more in the top 10, no? Interesting. UF was screwed by the 52 week rule. I'm not sure if Billboard will adjust it for the chart, but right now it's right behind PRA.

Yeah, well, it's not because things change based on the times and Billboard saw the change necessary. I think it's time to finally let that discussion rest because honestly, who the hell cares about decade end charts? Ten years is a massive time frame in which several changes can occur.
If we're gonna say UF would be #1 had the recurrent rule not come, then we need to also say Gangnam Style would be #1 had YouTube views counted while it was current. Then there's the whole addition of streaming coming after Party Rock Anthem, so who's to say that wouldn't still be #1 with streaming? We can't pick and choose what we can and cannot use in our what if discussions because there's just no validity on any of it.
