That's a very diverse four-way tie for #10 (with some interesting surprises!). As a fan, I'm happy it has some unnexpeted choices! I'm curious now if any of my "bolder" choices will make the list lol

Wavey✨️ Leo ✔ I have always been blown away by Faith's vocal on this song. I didn't remember it being a single though, because I was only like 9 when the album came out. So I had no idea a country remix existed! And now I regret posting a link to the music video in the OP, because imo the country remix eliminates a lot of what makes this song great. In the original her voice is so resonant and powerful but laid back and soft at the same time, and in the country version it almost seems slightly sped up or something, like she doesn't spend as much time on the verses. Which is not a good change imo, because this song does not have any kind of huge chorus or something to look forward to. All the magic is in how the verses play out.Now let's talk about the production. The original uses a f**king ENGLISH HORN prominently!!!! For those who haven't previously cared enough to know, an English Horn is basically a larger oboe that nobody ever uses because they are incredibly rare and expensive. The fact that Faith uses one in this song is like super swanky, and it is also incredibly effective at adding to the emotional impact of this song. The production to this song perfectly complements Faith's vocal as well as the brilliant melodic structure of the verses, and makes the song seem powerful in ways that the country version fails to capture. If you are only familiar with the country version, PLEASE listen to the first 20 seconds or so of the original to hear the English horn in the intro!!!
Edit: I can definitely understand why this is out early. I can understand it seeming "boring" to many. But listening to the original, I find it MUCH less boring than when I listen to the music video...

Due to the back-to-back-to-back losses of "One", "Baby You Belong", and "You're Still Here", the Cry album is already down to 2 songs! "When the Lights Go Down" and "Cry" remain. Are y'all still confident in your predictions that those will do well???

At least the last two Cry singles are the best ones and so far the first three were eliminated in order of increasing quality... #silverlinings

Daaaaaamn, wtf?! "You're Still Here" is a gorgeous song! I am totally shocked and disappointed that this is in the bottom 10! It is indeed a gorgeous song! Faith's subtle interpretation is also incredibly heartbreaking... There are 2 lines in it in particular that always get me... "And I woke up wondering what was real. Is it what you see and touch or what you feel?"and "I heard you in a stranger's laugh and I hung around to hear him laugh again...Just once again"

The Brazilian Guy 🇧🇷 agreed, particularly on that second lyric you quoted about hanging around to hear the stranger laugh. That one just guts me. </3 Actually really surprised "American Heart" didn't outlast "Come Home." Wow. I never understood the dislike for this song. I think she sounds fantastic on it and I love the melody so much. I really enjoy songs where the structure of the verses are unconventional (the sort of conversational delivery and pauses remind me of "In Case You Didn't Know," which I also love for the same reason). The instrumentation is another strong point for me as well. I didn't expect this one to go far, but I did think it'd beat "Come Home" and maybe at least 1 of the Greatest Hits singles, lol.

Cry is my least favourite album by Faith Hill so I am OK with singles from this album leaving first. In all the other albums there is at least one song that I am crazy about but on Cry album there isn't any stand out track. I kind of like Baby you Belong - especially the way melody and her voice goes on chorus (the part: "Nothing's ever been so meant to be - Or ever felt so right to me - Every single part of me believes"). Overall I am happy with the way this rankdown is going so far. I am also pleasantly surprised that my #7 is still hanging on - this probably won't last long but it did escape bottom 5 and that is a nice achievement.

I like this song but it felt more like an album track than a comeback single to me I'm kinda confident because although they didn't do well on the charts they are some of the standouts from Cry album

Unfortunately this song did not connect very well on country radio, and that seemed to bleed into a lack of passion in this rankdown as well. In fact this song performed worse here than it did in the Tim McGraw rankdown! It placed 52nd out of 76 songs there, putting it in the 68th percentile of Tim's hits catalog. 33 out of 40 puts it in the 83rd percentile of Faith's hits...
I will say, I saw the Soul2Soul tour back in April, and this song was SO MUCH BETTER live!! It translated so well to the concert setting! But I can definitely see why the studio version has been so half-heartedly received.

Tim definitely had his share of songs that was deserving to get out before "Speak to a Girl", but Faith's low point when it comes to songs are higher than Tim's, so I can understand why this did worse here than in the Tim McGraw rankdown.

With the back-to-back elimination of "American Heart" and "Speak To a Girl", "Come Home" is now the last remaining out of Faith's "comeback" songs! (Aka last single from this decade)
Will it escape the bottom 10? Only 2 more reveals to find out!!!!

I'm torn because I wanted this to do better on Faith Hill's rankdown because she steals the show on "Speak to a Girl" with her standout vocal performance, but at the same time Faith's catalog is a bit stronger than Tim's, so I guess I'm okay with this leaving a little earlier on than it did on his RD.

I like the Speak to Girl's melody and Faith's performance, but the lyrics can get a bit too cheesy for me. I think it got a fair ranking here, but It's a bit bittersweet tô me personally seeing a song like You're Still Here and One leaving before this...

"Red Umbrella" is a fun song and I love the imagery in the lyrics. It's cute fluff. Doesn't exactly stand up that strong compared to a lot of her other stuff for me though.

"Red Umbrella" with different lyrics could've been a bigger sonyg! The melody and Faiths performance are so great, but the lyrics never really captivated me in the same way (it's actually a hit cringy lol)

Now that's an interesting tie... good examples of how different ballads can be... one is super explosive while the other is super subtle. Faith just owns both styles! LOL
