So yeah, this was actually my #1 song for awhile when I first made my list... How surprising would THAT have been for people? "I Saw God Today" is SUCH a powerful song. It is literally perfect in every way to my ears. I will never understand how anybody could dislike this song. Ambivalence makes sense, but bottom 20 rankings? Some of y'all must've seen satan today

I love "Amazed" Although I am sure it helps that I was too young to really remember or be bothered by any of its massive overplay. I am not surprised to see it leave here, but I am glad that it did not leave any sooner than this!

Meh, Lonestar is boring. "Amazed" is too bland to hate, but also it's so bland that I never cared for it ever. It epitomes mediocre and I am annoyed how high I ranked this.

I Saw God Today - I only start liking this song when I was listening it for George Strait rankdown. It's still not one of my favourite from him but I would put It a few (a lot) places higher if I was doing this rankdown today.
Amazed - I like this song. Melody is catchy and lyrics are just cheesy enough for me to like them :)

Wait if you never cared for it ever, why did you rank it anything but the bottom 10? I never cared enough to hate it, I will always put something I hate lower than something that makes me feel nothing. Also I said I'm annoyed at how high I ranked this as I regret it. I honestly would've had this in the 70s for my list, looking back

If your commentary for every reveal is "meh didn't care for it" then maybe you'd be better off saving your comments for when you do feel something, like what everyone else does.

Yes. Why else would I join Pulse music board? None of the reveals today really did anything for me. This trend did not just start today. I am always vocal about my opinion even if they are indifferent on a song and some music doesn't move me either way. But I love music. I wouldn't join Pulse, participate in rankdowns, do my predictions, if I didn't like music at all. I know me better than anyone else does, and I'm being 100% honest here. I have always loved music and country music specifically, otherwise I wouldn't have joined Pulse. Simple as that.

Yeah well that's ironic because everyone else is thinking how boring af it is that you keep posting the exact same thing after every song is revealed. Not every song that goes out needs a comment from every single one of us. And you actually don't come off as very opinionated at all if every comment is "meh it was okay but I didn't care for it."

Maybe not opinionated, but I'm vocal about my opinions, even if they can be repetitive. I always like giving my thoughts on stuff. I mean if people really have a problem with me doing this though, and hold it against me I'll stop. I don't want people looking at me in a negative way if they are. I don't know if you or anyone else here is. But I'll stop if it makes the majority here happy.

This was one of the George songs I knew going into this rankdown, but after spending some time with more of George Strait's music, "I Just Want To Dance With You" is no longer one of my top favorites from George Strait (maybe like top 20-30ish?). I think if I were to do this rankdown right now I probably would have it somewhere in the 40s or maybe even the 50s.
I'm looking at my list right now and there are certain songs I'm like "Oh boy what in the world were you thinking"

I love George, but this song is leaving in a good place. "I Saw God Today" should have beaten this one in a perfect world, although I guess IJWTDWY has the advantage of being one of his most iconic hits, which definitely gave it an edge. I love both, but this one is one that I seldom go out of my way to listen to. Meanwhile, tim hasn't put any of the George songs in his top 10 so far... So what DID he put in his top 10??

"Over You" isn't one of her strongest songs lyrically (mostly because the chorus is kept very general/broad... which I think is kind of an asset to the song because it opens it up for everyone to kind of have their own feelings attached to it, but I know others disagree), but there are some really unique lines in there, like the one about unintentionally giving his records to the narrator. And Miranda nailed the vocal performance. And I looooove the music video. Gorgeous.
It definitely got a little too much love in the critical circles and I think that left a bad taste in some people's mouths with respect to enjoying this song because it did feel like it became a bit overrated as a result. I'll always love it though, but Miranda is also one of my all-time faves.

Mid-February shouldn't be so scary It was only December I still remember the presents, the tree, you and meI especially love this part of the song as I think it's very unique and captures the emotions involved very vividly. The production in the verses are hauntingly beautiful too. The chorus slightly drags it down for me because it just feels weaker than the verses melodically and lyrically (I think what .indulgecountry said about this being an asset to a song does the opposite for me) when I was expecting something greater after the phenomenal verses led up to it. That being said, this is in my top 10 favorite Miranda Lambert songs but I just couldn't get myself to rank this higher because of how good other songs are in this rankdown.

The piano intro from I Saw God Today gets me everytime. I also thought labour as a writing theme may not be that bad. Amazed is like at least 39 places too high. Horrible style that is sappy Adult Comtemporary leaning, terrible singing (they were singing at different keys each line in chorus?), and unforgivable lyrics (Baby, when you touch me/I can feel how much you love me/And it just blows me away) make this a non-country bad song. It's a shame that this song going Hot 100 #1 would count as a country song going Hot 100 #1 The bottom 4 rankers of Amazed making top 4 rankers of In Color, serving good taste On the other hand these four don't. It's really poignant and well sung by Jamey, especially during second verse. I Just Want To Dance With You is a cute light-hearted song.

I Just Want To Dance With You - This is still one of my favourite George Strait songs.
Over You - Lyrics, emotions in Miranda's voice, video and especially the backstory makes this song too sad. It's beautiful in every aspect but I just can't listen to it because it brings back painful memories.
