Seeing this song live a couple years ago made me love this song so much more. Tim McGraw is so great and I am looking forward to when we get solo music (I am still looking forward to his wife's music, just his more).
Ten Pound doesn't get the song but that's never shocking. His taste in music makes me look great.

"Humble And Kind" is great, but I am thrilled it is leaving here! Overplay totally killed it for me, to the point where I barely listen to it anymore. Plus after it made it all the way to #2 in the Tim McGraw rankdown I was even more worried it might last too long here!

However, "Mama's Broken Heart" was the #2 in the Miranda rankdown, and it is also in this rankdown! It will be interesting to see how long it lasts! |

That song literally lost to Jo Dee's other mega-hit, "I'm Alright", in the Jo Dee Messina Rankdown AND the 1998 Country Rankdown back-to-back... "A Broken Wing" almost pulled that feat off too. It was #2 in the Martina rankdown, and then almost came in #2 in the Evolution album rankdown, but snuck up to #1 with literally the last submission to beat out "Whatever You Say". Edit: "Breathe" was also #2 in the Faith Hill rankdown!! So many #2s here!!!! Wasn't Cam's "Burning House" #2 in the 2016 country RD? Or so I've heard since I didn't do that rankdown. Nope, it was the #1. Cam beat Maren! ("Burning House" then placed at #2 in the 2015 Country rankdown that happened right afterward, but that doesn't really matter because she had already placed at #1 in the 2016 one.) That was before my rankdown days, and I didn't hear too much about the 2016 country RD compared to the 2015 RD for some reason so it makes sense that I didn't know. Thanks for the clarification! |

Such a beautiful well written song and I have always loved, my parents loved it to pieces as well, so this song was one of my biggest childhood songs. Very haply it made the Top 40. Well deserved imo.

I think this song is great. Martina McBride sounds great and I love the lyrics. I wish the production was a little quiter but besides that love it.
