I do like "Mama's Broken Heart" the production is a bit sloppy though which holds it back big time for me. Sloppy? I get not liking it but I don't know if I'd call it sloppy. What do you find sloppy about it just so I can understand? The production in the chorus is just sloppy doesn't flow well and very loud. Miranda Lambert especially on the final chorus sounds like she's shouting at the top of her lungs to be heard over the wall of noise imo. |

Also I feel like I'm getting this perception now that I'm a hypocrite and what I say holds zero value or respect, between this and now the 2017 country rankdown. I hope not and I am thinking not as I have been enjoying myself again on Pulse but I hope I'm not looked as hypocritical, liar, etc or basically anything negative because of this rankdown. It's a shame that "Stupid Boy" is the last male song, moreso because I feel like both the male and female artists are strong in this category imo. and I were just poking fun at the fact that your rank was much lower than we expected it to be because of you defending "Springsteen" like that! This list is a REALLY solid list, so I wouldn't blame you for ranking some song in the 60s even if you thought it was great. It's that good of a list! I think I have a similar thing with where I ranked "Colder Weather" (my rank: #73) because I think it's great and I definitely underranked it. It doesn't mean we don't believe you or anything! "Stupid Boy" better make the top 20! It's a GREAT song.
YEESSS "MAMA'S BROKEN HEART" BYE!!! I like the song but it's definitely not among my favorite Miranda songs. I would've been MAD if it had beaten "The House That Built Me". Oh yeah I agree it's a great list and I'm kicking myself for how I ranked Eric Church as I myself couldn't recall where I ranked him so I assumed high since I do love that song. I just got the feeling no one believed me because of my rank and I felt like I needed to explain myself a bit. |

Oh wow! I definitely thought we might be losing a Faith song sooner rather than later, but I figured "This Kiss" would leave first! That one is much more polarizing! Really the only reason to dislike "Breathe" might be overplay...

Ok this song is pop country perfection and the sheer passion in Faith Hill elevates the song so much for me. Also that music video with Faith Hill in the desert (that's how you spell it right) and her in bed with nothing but a blanket, my gosh she's gorgeous af. I can see why many people said it was such a sexy music video.
Love this song and love the music video so much.

Whoa! VERY pleasantly surprised by this! Thought this was a guarantee for the top 5, with a high chance at #1! Its always been way overrated imo though. Still a great song

This is a great song and a total classic, but this is about where I ranked it and it's very overplayed, so I'm cool with it. There's better songs left, for sure.

Pissed off. Perfectly captures the drunk loneliness the song was going for.
Also this gem of a line
"Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all"
Perfect song. Lady Antebellum's best song going away. It was so great in 2010 and 2009 to an extent that this was so huge and the general public seemed to largely agree that this was awesome and critics loved this song as well. It perfectly captures Lady Antebellum at their most raw and vulnerable. Lady Antebellum frustrated me when they tried to do this type of song over and over again on their third album. Because this song is lighting in a bottle that can't be reciprocated, redone or done better.
Always such a great song to listen too and will always stand the test of time with country music. It's a classic.

You know, I almost predicted "Need You Now" might leave tonight, but I didn't feel bold enough! This is an awesome song, but like indulge said there are much better songs left, so I am okay seeing this leave now. Hillary and Charles' voices sound SO good together on this song though, and I am definitely here for it making it so close to the top 20  |
