I am ECSTATIC for this!!! That album cover and the whole aesthetic of it is giving me life and I'm here for these titles! Among the tracks I'm claiming, I'm most excited for "Male Fantasy" because something about that is screaming feminist vibes and I'm so here for that. July 30 can't get here soon enough!

Also, someone on Twitter pointed this out, but if you take a really close look at the album cover, you can see a tear falling down Billie's right cheek. Makes me think the album's title is, if not misleading, a juxtaposition from the actual content.

Really love the new track, feels like step in a fresh direction. I am confused as to the vibe of this album. My Future was one of my favorite songs from last year and it fits nicely alongside Your Power while Therefore I Am feels like last era Billie. Im getting very 1950s/60s lounge crooner vibes from this eras aesthetic and artwork. Exciting she’s taking chances sonically.

Odd to see Grammy-winner Everything I Wanted left out. I was speculating this would happen, as I believe Billie & Finneas view that song as a closure to the previous era rather than a new beginning & it was already tacked onto certain deluxe versions of her first album, namely the Target re-issue CDs and Japanese "complete edition". I still wasn't sure what the label wanted to do with it though, so I thought they might include it on this upcoming album on digital streaming services to boost up her albums streaming total. I'm glad they didn't. |
