I'm also very curious as to what her new song and album will sound like. Each of her albums sound different from one another (I find Fearless and Speak Now to be fairly similar in sound but otherwise), so I'm thinking it'll sound different from 1989.
Also, the evolution of her music sounded like a natural progression (moving away from country towards pop) but at this point, I don't even know what a natural progression is for her now that she's finished her transition to pop with 1989, making her new output unpredictable in terms of sound.

I won't be surprised if the first single is slower than most people expect. There's only so many ways you can throw curveballs as the projects go on, and she likes doing that with her leads. |

I don't know how reliable this is but US Weekly just "confirmed" a 8/25 release date.

Judging by her latest tweet, it will be three teasers because it has the first one posted yesterday and the one posted today in a video of 20 seconds. As a consequence, the latest (with the head of the snake) should be unveiled tomorrow at 11am. ET and the proper announcement would be happening in the following hours, unless Taylor remains silent until Friday. |
