Let it be purged. It's not as if the song lingering by its neck to avoid it will somehow negate its massive drop and short shelf life. It served its purpose at the end of the day though and what's the worst outcome of it not making it? Being the first #1 to do so? Ok. It already has the largest fall in top 40 history so that wouldn't be a shocker. Whether it makes it or not won't sway any already cemented opinions of its performance.

Interesting to watch though, I suppose. :)

Meanwhile, I still absolutely love this. Admittedly I am unsure how much of that love was fostered by its incredible video. Took a few listens to digest at first as initially I remember being slightly disappointed (though I was initially disappointed with "Shake It Off" too).

I really do think this song thinks it pulls off the chorus more than t does. I almost never go back to it. It just doesn't quite punch the way it should, and it never really got stuck in my head.

It's the right first single, I just think the chorus needed a harder beat and a slight melody.

I agree. All that bombast doesn't pay off. Reminds me of "Focus" by Ariana Grande, but less so obnoxious and just disappointing. It was #1 on my chart for four weeks, and dropped out after 16. #10 on my year-end list. Although, it won't be making my best songs of the year list, got way better songs for that. It was #7 on my most streamed songs of 2017 though. It was a weird song. I loved it at first, bought it as soon as it came out... then I liked it less and less and less till I hated it, and now it's just meh.
