In light of the unexpected passing of K.T. Oslin, I think I’m going to change up my plans for the Icon series a bit and if the interest is there I’d like to do one for her which I’ll probably launch in the next couple of days. She doesn’t have a vast discography so I can’t imagine it being anything more than 20 songs.

^I was thinking you or someone should do the same thing when Charley Pride passed, tbh! Although he might have enough interest on Pulse to do a full singles rd rather than just an amended one.

Hi! It's been some time since I've given an update on my end of things regarding rankdowns, so I thought I'd take up some of your reading time and give a massive word wall full of updates on what's currently going on and what's being cooked on the stove as we speak/what's almost done cooking, and what I plan on cooking next! Currently happening:-- Her Gift: the Carrie Underwood Christmas Rankdown is currently revealing. I will be revealing #13-#10 tonight, #9-#7 tomorrow, and the Top 6 on Christmas Eve! At 20 participants, it seems this rankdown has broken the record for largest turnout for a Christmas RD. I'm pleased with that turnout!! (and historic achievement ) In the pipeline:--I am catching up currently on my personal chart. I have currently logged up to the November 20 edition and by Saturday plan to have the rest of the backlogged charts posted. On Sunday, December 27 and going through Thursday, December 31, I will be revealing my personal year-end chart for 2020. I had initially announced that I would reveal the Top 50 songs of 2020, but I think I might go ahead and expand that to the Top 100. Immediately following the reveals of my personal chart's year-end list, I will be taking the Top 50 songs from it and opening Tay's Hot 50: the 2020 Year-End Rankdown. This is an all-genre chart, so it will be an all-genre list of 50 songs to rank, with a good chunk of them being country. It's obviously of no requirement of pressure, but the rankdown has a planned due date of Friday, February 5. --On January 11, I will be resuming the Shania Twain Album Series! Since we're going in order, Up! is the next album in the series and I plan on it being due Monday, February 8. As with Come On Over, you will be able to rank whichever version--I'm assuming red or green, but blue as well if you want--of Up! that you prefer, or you can mix and match tracks based on your sonic preference of individual tracks. --On January 22, Jake Owen's album series will also be returning! I will be resuming things on this front with his debut album, Startin' with Me, and I'm planning on a due date of Friday, February 26 for that one. It won't take but that weekend to fully reveal that album's results, so that's what I'll be doing. Immediately following that, on March 1, I'll be launching his second studio album Easy Does It, which will have a due date of Monday, March 29. --On January 29, I will be launching the Carrie Underwood Extras Rankdown! This will be all of her one-offs and such, as well as her Greatest Hits singles "Something in the Water" and "Little Toy Guns." I'm still taking a final look at the list as it stands at 30 songs and I admittedly see one or two places where I could leave something on the cutting room floor, but you'll see the list on 1/29 and this rankdown, set far in advance, will be due on Friday, March 19. Following this rankdown, bboat11 will have take the reigns for the Carrie Underwood Album Tracks, which I would wager he'll open shortly after the Extras as this Album Tracks RD has been long-awaited and something he's personally been itching to do for some time now. --On February 12, I'll be mass-launching the Jon Pardi Album Rankdowns. Write You A Song and the B-Sides of that album (which I will treat as bonus tracks), California Sunrise, Heartache Medication, and The Rancho Fiesta Sessions (which is only eight songs) will be opened all at once, with due dates of April 2, April 9, April 23, and April 30 (all Fridays) respectively. This rankdown set of mine has been on the queue for quite some time now and I'm looking forward to getting it moving along! --On Valentine's Day, I'll be circling back around to Shania Twain and opening the fifth installment of her album series, Now, set for a due date of Saturday, March 27. It's far out from its launch date but that's just where I was able to slip it in. After Now, if there is interest in The Complete Limelight Sessions, I'll open that at some point. If not, we'll move straight into the Shania Twain Extras. I'll put up a poll when Now is launched looking for feedback. Beyond that, I have no other country rankdowns set in stone, but I will be returning in February to the Adele Rankdowns outside of the country rankdown world and re-launching 19 with a due date of Monday, April 19. I know that some of you did send or were looking to send a list for this one, and I wanna extend my apologies for letting it go abandoned for so long. It certainly wasn't my plan, but 2020 was...2020. Again nothing is set in stone beyond the end of April, but in May, I hope to launch the Darius Rucker and Luke Bryan rankdowns with due dates later on in mid-to-late June. As you can see, I've made myself quite a schedule, with at least one rankdown in each of the first four months of the year, and while I know it's ambitious, I hope to be a consistent rankdown host for y'all in 2021! I did also try to space these out as far as possible so that other hosts can plan around them, and to offer as much room to breathe as possible. (With Jon Pardi being the exception, only because I'm mass-launching his and the style of due dates will be similar to castleoblivion26's Brothers Osbourne album rankdowns) Ideas for Rankdowns:There are a few definite album series I want to plan on, but want to wait to start until I've wrapped up Shania and Jake completely: --Darius Rucker Album Series (following singles rankdown) --Luke Bryan Album Series (following singles rankdown) --LeAnn Rimes Album Series (I had a schedule all planned for how I would do these, but with the release of her 2020 album Chant I will need to edit the order with which I'd do these. If there's nobody else who had wanted to host a LeAnn series, I'll gladly take the reigns!) These are currently maybes for 2021, as in I might not even get the chance to get to them in 2021 but would be likelier to get to them as 2022 starts, but there are a few album series I want to plan on (with respect to any other album series for other artists going on): --Eric Church Album Series (I've previously expressed an interest in hosting this; and I would get to this whenever he releases his upcoming seventh album) --Josh Turner Album Series (This is another instance of "if there's nobody else interested")

I wanted to ask everyone if they'd be okay if I did the Ashley McBryde album series in February? I'd do one album each week, similar to how I did Brothers Osborne and taylor is terrified is planning the Jon Pardi series? There are a few albums outside of the series I've got ongoing that I'd like to try and knock out over the next few months. I just don't want to overload the amount of rankdowns that are ongoing currently. I would not have any other rankdowns outside of the Anything & Everything series due in Feb. I could also do this in March instead of February if that is what people prefer. I'm thinking after that series is done I'd like to do one artist a month out of Brothers Osborne, Brett Young, Carly Pearce, Kip Moore, and Rebecca Lynn Howard until those are all done. One other option would be to do 2 albums at a time once a month out of all the artist, including Ashley. If I did this I'd do Ashley's EP and first album for Feb, then in Mar I could do her newest and extras. Apr I could do Kip Moore's last two albums, May I could do Carly Pearce's and Brett Young's last albums and so on. Thinking this idea might be more preferable but wanted to run both ideas by everyone

I am trying to think of whose discography I want to jump into next! I have opened the Scotty McCreery Album Series which will be fun but I want to try to do a singles rankdown or an album rankdown of an album I really enjoy. Here are some of the people I am trying to decide between: - Billy Currington singles - Justin Moore singles - Eli Young Band - Life At Best album - Brett Eldredge singles - Luke Combs WYSIWYG Deluxe Songs + extras, I know taylor is terrified did his first two studio albums so if you want to do that one yourself that makes sense!

I had originally planned on a June 26, 2020 due date for his extras but then 2020 had other plans for me and lots of stuff came up. By August or so, the deluxe edition of WYSIWYG was announced and to be honest, I don't think I have any interest in hosting the deluxe tracks or the extras so I'm glad to pass the reigns to you. :)

My personal chart's Top 50 songs of 2020 are now open for submissions! Of the 50 songs, 33 of them are country, with a 34th song happening to be country but just by a non-country artist. Completely optional, but the deadline is February 5 and the full list of songs, as well as the Apple Music/Spotify playlists, can be found here!

***Important Announcement Time***
On July 14th I posted a kind reminder that people needed to host their rankdowns in accordance with the rules, or I would have to start enforcing the rules and/or making some executive changes. Since that time, the vast majority of rankdowns have happened smoothly and in accordance with the rules, and for that I thank you guys! There are a few, however, which have continued to hold things up. I chose to keep being lenient through the New Year to give those hosts another chance, but now that we are 6 months out from the last warning, it is time for some executive decision-making to begin. - As of right now, the Kellie Pickler rankdowns (Part 1 and Part 2), the Female Flops of 2015 rankdown, and the Lady A: 747 album rankdown have all been declared abandoned and removed from the queue. .indulgecountry , g8erboi , and Cody Wants Out... , you have one week from today to re-activate those rankdowns (whether that means starting reveals, setting a new deadline, giving them to somebody else, etc. is up to you). If they are still abandoned one week from now, they will be up for grabs for anyone else who wants to claim them.
- In accordance with the rules, all of those hosts' reserved rankdowns have been removed from the queue. That means the RaeLynn rankdown, Dolly Parton rankdown, 1990 rankdown, 1995 rankdown, Brooks & Dunn album series, and the remainder of the Lady A album series are all currently up for grabs. Indulge's current album series (Miranda Lambert and Sara Evans) are not up for grabs, because he has very recently continued making progress with them).
- As of right now, tim will be taking over ALL of the remaining 1990s year-end rankdowns, including 1991. Those rankdowns have been on the queue for 3-4 years now, and the host has continued to move slower than continental drift. 1991 Country has been open for nearly 11 months now, despite me warning that it needed to start soon back in July. To the four people who have already submitted for 1991, look to tim for more direction about what happens next. He will be revamping and relaunching that rankdown eventually once he has had a chance to plan how he wants to do the rest of these '90s year-ends. Cody no longer has any claim to the '90s year-ends, so there will be no reason for anyone else to work on the existing 1991 rankdown at this point in time.
Thank you all! I appreciate your cooperation! Remember that rankdowns are supposed to be fun, and the rules are only in place to keep things moving so that people continue to have the fun that has been promised to them I hate to enforce them, but it is very clear based on the last few months that some of these changes had to be made...

Can I just say thank you for all you do with regards to this thread and trying to keep everything going smoothly bboat11. The one thing that I want to remind everyone, and myself as well, is that while we all want to see these different rankdowns happen we all have lives to devoting time to something that then never gets done in a reasonable time is frustrating and rather disrespectful of everyone who does participate so please keep that in mind when setting a deadline for a rankdown. Small extensions are of course understandable but having extensions that are months out have become a bit excessive and really need to not be a thing. Just my two cents.

I hate to disrupt the rankdown process like that, but it is VERY clear that this is a change that has needed to be made. Thanks for your cooperation everyone! Like I said, look to tim for direction about what happens next Having grown up with ‘90s country, I can tell you that each and every one of these songs are intertwined with most if not all of my childhood memories. Some good...some bad...but you can’t have happiness without sadness and therein lies why I have such a deep appreciation for this time period in country music. I look forward in taking on these last few ‘90s rankdowns and giving them their due diligence. I do want to thank Cody Wants Out... for jumpstarting these and I appreciate his enthusiasm for them. For anyone that has already submitted for the 1991 year-end rankdown, I’ll be reaching out to you and giving everyone additional details soon!

Besides, hoping to do some albums for airplay artists like
Blue Roses by Runaway June Fire & Brimstone and more by Brantley Gilbert Frame by Frame by Cassadee Pope Yours by Russell Dickerson Brothers and more by LoCash California Sunrise by Jon Pardi (not sure this one was already done) Come Back Road by Logan Mize
And hopefully More Canadians (other than Shania) if there's interest.

Regarding other Canadian artists, I am currently hosting an album series for Terri Clark as well as taylor is terrified's for Shania. So those others you mentioned should be up for grabs. Let's see how you do with one rankdown before you start claiming a bunch of them though :) We've had issues with people claiming rankdowns and then ruining them. I'm excited to see what you come up with for the Canadian rd! If you need help with anything, or need tips and pointers, etc. feel free to reach out!

I'll be sure to tag you in the first reminder when I make it. :) I definitely second RDs for Canadian artists, as I have always gone by what's popular and being played here in America so I'll definitely be interested in discovering what Canada's country music industry has to offer!

since it has been weeks since bboat11 made the announcement that the Brooks & Dunn series has been abandoned I have talked with him and decided to take on the remainder of the series as it is one I am excited to see completed! I hope to see many join me in ranking these albums! I'll be opening the first two albums to be due near the end of Feb either later today or tomorrow! Also expect to see a few other album rankdowns come that I've mentioned previously be opened soon as well!

If they are still abandoned one week from now, they will be up for grabs for anyone else who wants to claim them.
The Female Flops of 2015 rankdown was never revived by the host, so that idea has officially been removed from the queue for good. If anybody else would like to reclaim that idea, it is up for grabs! Although tbh at this point it might make more sense to do a "Female Flops of 2020" rankdown now that we've ended another year! Things are really busy in Rankdown-World right now too, so I would be in favor of just letting this idea die for awhile if nobody has an overwhelming urge to host it.

I can go ahead and revive the idea since I wound up taking over the 2019 edition, so I'll put it on my plans for somewhere. Just...not anytime soon, lol. That's the largest I think I've ever seen that "open for submissions" column. Disclaimer; I'll probably need a bit of help compiling lists for some editions but we can cross that bridge when we come to it
