Hello, y’all! I’m a freelance writer working on a book about what’s the quickest way to kill your radio career. I am looking for anecdotes and stories about how you (or someone you know) have committed a major “faux pas” and did themselves (and their career) in. Whether it’s one paragraph or twenty pages, I want to hear your story! You can remain anonymous but would prefer as much details as possible. If your submission is included in the final published product, I’ll send you a free copy so you can brag to your friends that you are a published writer! You can post your responses on this message board thread or email them to me at: radiobook@gyllenhaal.zzn.com Thanks a bunch and I look forward to reading your stories!

Once again, the majority of this board (like 99%) is made up of high school and college students, not radio programmers or DJs.

Let us know when the book is published, though... I'm interested in reading it!

I understand that the primary posters are high schoolers and college kids but you do have some people who are or were in the industry who do cruise your boards. Also, this book is for those who are interested in getting into the industry. It's kind of a heads-up of what it is really like. They don't teach you the real deal in school. It's about how you play the game. I'm just looking for stories about how people played the game wrong so that others can learn from their mistakes.
BTW, I did post at Radio-Info but thanks!
