Welcome to the official Montgomery Gentry singles rankdown! 

Okay! /ee/ am FINALLY going to do this. /ee/ started this thread way back in September after Troy Gentry's passing. /ee/ knew /ee/ wanted to do /æ/ singles rankdown for them, /ee/ just didn't know when. /ee/ honestly wasn't in /æ/ place with their music after Troy died where /ee/ felt /ee/ was ready to do this, but after seeing MG live in January /ee/ was brought back to my 'happy place' while listening to them, so /ee/ have actually been ready to do this since January lol but /ee/ just kept putting it off and now here we are. Anyway, /ee/ hope everyone still wants to do this and enjoys celebrating this wonderful duo with me. They were my favorites for so many years! Lots of great songs in this rankdown and /ee/ am excited to host this and experience it with everyone :-)

Troy Gentry's death just makes me sad all over. 50 is too young...and no one should have to go out that way. You're supposed to be really old and die of natural causes in your sleep.

Clearly great minds think alike /ee/ cannot wait for this. /ee/ am honestly completely unsure how to handle this loss... Celebrating his career is /æ/ great way to start, though.

/ee/ thought about doing one anyway, and unfortunately this solidified it. /ee/ love them so much!

/ee/'m going to Montana today and will be gone until Thursday, so the song and tag list will probably come next weekend. /ee/ just wanted to start the thread now, because /ee/ feel compelled to host this.

As you know /ee/'m not /æ/ big fan of theirs, LBTrocks, but you can definitely still count me in on this. /ee/ do like /æ/ handful of their singles and /ee/ have /æ/ feeling there'll be at least /æ/ few /ee/ discover that /ee/ won't dislike too, lol.

/ee/'m still in shock and disbelief over Troy's death; God only knows when it'll finally sink into my thicker-than-texas-toast head. /ee/ was gonna dig into MG's discography in the next few months anyways, so this'll give me more incentive to do so. /ee/'ll participate.

LBT knows /ee/'m not much of an MG fan....(/ee/ am of the car, however, always wanted an MGB-GT)...however.../ee/ looked over the list and already have /æ/ top 10 without needing to listen again...so, yes, /ee/'m in....

/ee/'ve received several more lists, but am still hoping for more! /ee/ am going to tag everyone as /æ/ reminder, but just know that if you sent /æ/ list in and you get /æ/ reminder tag, /ee/ have received it. /ee/ will update the Ranks Received list and remove those who already sent lists in from the reminder list as soon as /ee/ have time, but it won't be tonight lol.

In the meantime, /ee/'ll push the deadline back once more to this Sunday at midnight. So you have the rest of the week and all weekend to get your lists in!

NOTE: Strive to have your lists in by then... no more official deadline extensions after this. You may, however, have some of next week to send your list in depending on how long it takes me to compile results. Don't bank on this however.
