I thought this was going to be more Anglo-ish than Latin-ish but I'm overall glad that this is just a simple but effective Latin bop. Demetria sounds lovely and controlled in Spanish, and her slightly screamy ad-libs are placed where they need to be, enhancing the song.
Super catchy and already stuck in my head after two listens. Hope it's another hit for both -and expands the Latin wave in the pop charts

This might be one of the few songs I like from Demi, mostly because she isn't shouting the whole thing!
Also she is getting really good recognition at Pop radio this year so this collab was a good move.

They also did an English version called "Not On You." Bugs me when things aren't translated as is and it would've worked. "It's not you, it's me" is the exact same as "No eres tu, soy yo" not sure why they didn't keep that in English instead of "Not on you" since it could be sung with the same amount of syllables. Might be nitpicking, but still. |

This will probably make a big splash on the Hot 100 because it's music video already is over 54 mil views and it hasn't been a full week yet
It's also still in the top 10 on iTunes at #8 right now and #57 on Spotify, it's quickly rising and should be in the Top 50 on Spotify soon

I hope Radio eats this up, I think Luis Fonsi is a great artist and I'm happy he's getting such big exposure. But I'm scared Despacito is gonna define his legacy as his only pop hit, please let this also smash.
