This album is bad. Mostly just more of the same trend chasing fluff that Dustin has been specializing in as of late.

This album is bad. Mostly just more of the same trend chasing fluff that Dustin has been specializing in as of late. I agree with this so much. I really do believe that Dustin Lynch is extremely talented and a great singer as a whole and that's why I can lately somewhat tolerate "Small Town Boy". The problem I have with him is 2 things. 1. Is that for the most part is songs are really lacking in writing and come off as really cliche heavy, also the production and his vocals never mix well. His voice isn't really the type for the pop spectrum of country music. I truly believe that Dustin Lynch's vocals would be better in the more traditional side of the country music spectrum or maybe some tinged of the rock side. I will say that "Love Me or Leave Me Alone" is the clear standout and definitely needs to be the followup to "Small Town Boy", I also don't mind "Why We Call Each Other". But besides that this album does nothing but frustrate me as Dustin Lynch has all the potential in the world to be great, but it's squandered. Funny enough when I type this my radio is of course playing "Small Town Boy" as I type.

Congrats to Dustin on debuting @ number 7 with 36,000 units (27,000 in traditional sales). It's safe to assume he's number on country albums
