This previous rankdown winner unfortunately could not repeat its previous domination of the competition. However, I would say that George's top 10 is a little bit stiffer of a competition than the top 10 of the 1997 Country rankdown was (even though it was awesome an awesome top 10 too). This song was honestly not even a top 5 contender until the last 2 lists, but it definitely belongs in the top 5, so I am not disappointed to see it there. .indulgecountry is the only one to say goodbye to a #1 this time, while the lowest rank from George Strait Junkie is barely in the 60s. I guess that's why this song has a fairly low Standard Deviation!

Ok, I ADORE "Carrying Your Love With Me" obviously but it's not so much that I'm upset to see it out now, I mean it deserves top 5 and it's in the top 5 so I'm happy, but I seriously thought this was a lock for #1 lol. I'd love to say "Amarillo By Morning" will be 1 and since I have it at 2, it would be logical for me to bump it up to 1 but.... I just don't know if that is feasible! Like 2 for me was feasible. But 1.... not so sure about that. Would enough people like it enough for that to happen, especially when compared to what's still in.....?

With this, the Blue Clear Sky era is finally down to just 1 song left! I am not surprised or upset to see that album absolutely dominating in this rankdown, because those singles are some of the biggest and best of George's career. "Carried Away" may not have been on most peoples' radar for making the top 5, but believe it or not it was a top 5 contender for almost the entire submission process. It even oscillated between #2 and #3 for awhile! This song is one of George's more underrated ballads, so I am thrilled to see this do so well!

In some cool twist of fate, the top 3 is composed of one song from each of the main decades of George's career. "Amarillo" from the '80s, "Blue Clear Sky" from the '90s, and "Run" from the '00s! I honestly did not expect that to happen, especially since "Run" has been the last song from the '00s ever since we first entered the top 10.

You guys, I am SO THRILLED that you helped me get this song into the top 3!!! I wasn't sure how to expect this song to perform, but I definitely did not think it would make it much higher than top 15 or top 10! This is one of my very favorite George songs, because of the dark and moody production. The use of steel guitar throughout is very ominous and unique as well. It is just all around a very unique song for George, and for that it really stands out to me.

I lose my #2 here, while carriekins and fearlessarrow also lose a pair of #3s. Everybody else put this in their top 50 except for George Strait Junkie and codyj100, who were clearly both just mistaken when they made their lists

I was really hoping that "Run" would be a surprise winner but I love the other two. To be honest "Blue Clear Sky" was the first George Strait song I ever became a fan of so I would love to see that one win but "Amarillo by Morning" is a great one that I really love as well so I'm excited by this Top 2!

One of George's most iconic hits bows out in the runner-up position. This song is amazing and perfect, so I am SO glad to see it be the top song from the '80s, and then be appropriately recognized by us putting it all the way in the top 2!

This has been my favorite George Strait song since the moment I heard it. This song is just SO catchy, and the odd little descriptive phrases are absolutely perfect! Plus the melody just serves to make the lyrics sound that much more triumphant. "Here she comes, a walkin' talkin' true love" has got to be the catchiest intro to any chorus EVER!

"Blue Clear Sky" is also the only song that ranked in everybody's top 50! In fact, everybody but 1 put it in their top 40, and even then there were only 2 who didn't put it in their top 30.

This wasn't quite as much of a landslide as "Independence Day" delivered in the Martina McBride rankdown, but it is definitely one of the healthiest victories I have seen in an artist rankdown yet

If it wasn't for those last few submissions on "I Can Still Make Cheyenne", I would've had the top 2 songs. So close lol.

Not complaining though, "Blue Clear Sky" has always been neck-and-neck with "Cheyenne" as my two favorites from George. Happy with this ending. :)

Love "Blue Clear Sky" as well, but given my quirky taste, it would never be a #1...

I honestly didn’t think this had any shot at #1 and was just rooting for a top ten finish. How fitting that the two biggest George Strait fans on Pulse would also choose the same song!

I’m still going to come back around tomorrow and finish up some of my fan anecdotes, but I’m going to round it out with 50 (so about 15 more).
