Btw I just wanted to say that even though I didn't partake in this rankdown nor your personal one, I really love the way you host rankdowns Red! You always seem super excited and I like trying to guess what the songs are before they're revealed.

10. Savior - Wow, I guess people really wanted this not to be #1 again. I actually ranked it 18 positions higher than in the 2010 rankdown, bringing it into the top 50 - another testament to the quality of this year. This certainly isn't a terrible song, but IMO it really did not deserve #1 in the first place, so it's a pleasant surprise to see it this far down.
9. Uprising - I still dig this song, but I'm also fine with the other 2010 repeat getting out of the way.
8. Help I'm Alive - Was hoping this could sneak into the top 5, but nice to see another strong rankdown performance from them regardless.
7. New Divide - Linkin Park on autopilot. Nothing remarkable about this song, but being inoffensive in a year full of real turds was enough to land it in the 50's for me. Overstayed its welcome for sure, but that's not too surprising, and I'm glad it's not top 5.
6. You're Gonna Go Far, Kid - It's not my favorite Offspring song from this era, let alone overall, but it's a good song anyhow. This one's also higher than it belongs, but I still would have rather much seen this in the top 5 over "Decode".
5. Decode - Way overstayed its welcome, but I'm glad it was at least this one that made top 10 over "Ignorance". It's a decent attempt at an Evanescence-type song, probably my second favorite from them after "CrushCrushCrush". But yeah, not even worthy of the top 20 let alone the top 5.
4. Feel Good Drag - This song definitely holds up. Thought it might be a dark horse contender for #1, which I wouldn't have minded so much, but #4 is a good placement.
3. Kids - This one's a real classic, and I would have loved for it to be #1, but top 3 is still better than I expected. And it's only one slot below where I put it.
2. Sex On Fire - I'm kinda burned out on this era of KOL in general, but this definitely holds up the best of all the singles, and I'd be much more annoyed if "Use Somebody" were this high. Still glad it's not #1 though.
1. Panic Switch - This was my favorite of the songs that I actually thought had a good chance at #1 (though I was starting to have a glimmer of hope that "Kids" could make it). I'm happy with this result - it was a top 10 for me after all.
Overall, an underwhelming year musically ended up having the most satisfying result out of all these rankdowns. Several songs overstayed their welcomes IMO, but all in all I did pretty well here. Thanks Red, despite the hiccups it was a great rankdown!

"Panic Switch" is a great song from a great band, so I have no issues with it winning here. Kind of surprised how low "New Divide" ended up in the top 10. That might be my favorite LP song.
