I agree with the cross-over potential. This is going top 10 on CHR by the end of this year.

It better not sadly t his looks like it may be in the early stages of crossing over, so I could see it being the type of song that sticks around for a while. How so? Selling very well, and I believe it just begun to chart on HAC.

This burned out on me big time. Which isn't too surprising really, as I pretty much recognized the disposable nature of this from the beginning, but still enjoyed it in spite of that. That said, I'll still be rooting for this at HAC and CHR.

I heard this on Sirius XM Hits 1 and it’s really good. I would love if this could be a hit.

I can't believe this song even made Top 40 on Alternative, I am 90% sure this is some type of Payola deal. Was heavily promoted to most radio stations and was on front page of AllAccess for a good 6 weeks.
WOOF.

I mean the digital sales speak for themselves, it's consistently been a strong selling Alternative song. Clearly there is some demand for this song.

I see this unwillingly got itself out of the top spot.

Uhh, so this has grown on me a bit. And I quite disliked it in the past. Found it bland and basic before. Now I'm kinda grooving to it. Wonder how long this'll last...

Back at #1 😡 2 1 LOVELYTHEBAND Broken 2934 2727 207 14.069 What the actual fu ck?! How does a song this old that’s already had a run up top have such a massive bullet?? Hopefully this won’t block Thought Contagion from #1 in Billboard, though I’m sure it will. This needs to be done like...yesterday. Edit: after checking the charts it looks like MOST songs actually have a bullet over 100 and many have a bullet over 200...what’s going on? Panel shift? Also I take back what I said about this song needing to vacate because I’m okay with this blocking Dangerous Night (which is dangerously close to the top spot).

It’s not solely because of this song of course, but I honestly think this has got to be one of the worst years for the alt charts in some time. While I suppose the charts are a bit more friendly to veteran/heavier acts then they were 5ish years ago, everything is skewing poppier, mediocre songs are sticking around for forever again, and until this week, I honestly don’t know if there was a single alt #1 I actively enjoyed. At least Jumpsuit and Africa are returning some semblance of quality to the chart, but I honestly think the garbage that’s charted this year is partly responsible for getting me more into pop and hip hop.

While there’s certainly some good stuff there, much of it is so monotonous and generic, even most of the big acts. It’s just hard for me to get excited about the new Three Days Grace single that sounds like the past 25 they’ve released.

First off; "Infra Ded" is exactly that. second; Honestly, I don't get bored of traditional hard rock. Monotonous and genric doesn't apply with me, because I don't consider those bad aspects. Just ask AC/DC. ;) What I consider wrong, are songs that sound too different or experimental to fall under the rock catagory. Besides, The active chart is but a mere extension of other online metal charts where I actually discover my rock music from. Short answer: The more 80's Metal ,or "post Grunge" I get from music , the more it clicks with me. Now for Alt. A few years back, I used to think it was cool ,all the indiepop and synthpop was charting on Alt, but now it sounds more poptart than synthpop and I regret it. Short answer: Hardly no 80's or even 90's vibe on Alt chart. Out of the current 50 songs charting on Alt and Active charts this week, these are the results: Active=I like 26 out of 50 songs Alt = I like 16 out of 50 songs Short answer: Can't teach old dog new tricks. :kii:

Oh yeah forgot to mention that this debuted at #84 on the Hot 100. LOL! this song is so "over the counter" indiepop; that I thought it would be in the Hot 100 top 30 by now? BTW, I just , today ,heard a line in the this song saying, "these are my friends"; which is the name of their second single. Who knows ,maybe a line in "These Are My Friends" will reveal the name of their third single? That's how "connect the dots" this band is. ;)

Yeah, I don't dislike this song but I'm super tired of it at this point, and yeah, "Sit Next To Me" is better.
I suppose the only solace is that this could be preventing "these are my friends" (which really sucks) from becoming a bigger hit.

The problem with this song its that its so simple. "Mary had a little lamb" has more depth. Oh well I haven't really been in agreement with Alts number 1 year songs for sometime.

The best part of this song is the chick in the video. Go figure.
