I've been playing this for awhile and now am kinda over it.
Invokes one of those indie pop bands breaking out in 2013, a la Smallpools, The Colourist, etc.

Sounds like something I might have reviewed in the New Adds thread? I must have mentioned MGMT "Kids" vibes with the synths? I could easily get behind this if is starts charting.

I don't see how this is much different than the many other decent indie songs that have come out over the last decade. It does have a good chorus though.
Speaking of The Colourist, there's a band that I feel got totally robbed with 'Little Games." That has to be one of my favorite indie songs ever. I think it only peaked at #15 on Alt?
While I wasn't such a fan of Smallpools newer stuff, all of their singles from a few years ago were so underrated. I'd be completely fine with bands like those two charting on Alternative rather than a song like this one.

Horrible band name, but the song is pretty good. Gives me some M83 vibes which is never a bad thing.

I got really excited by reading the comments here about comparisons to M83 & The Colourist...but then I clicked play...
I usually love indie pop like this, but this came off kinda wimpy sounding to me...I don't hate it, but ... it's not very good & nowhere close to the quality of the aforementioned bands

I've been passing up on more and more of these new indie bands that chart on alt,this year. The vocals all seem to be on auto pilot. No soul. They just sound so bland now a days. I'm still not 100% on board with this. The chorus is alright, I think the indie stuff I discover online , with the 80;s vibes like Freeweights, NEON LIGHTS, etc,...sounds more edgy and more my style

^ I happen to think the opposite. I thought this was alright on first listen, but it's grown off me now. Not a bad song, but not exactly great either. It is ok, but this style of indie has been done better by other artists.

I'll grant that this is nothing new, but I'll take more early 2010s-style indie pop any day over most of the sounds on the chart now. Plus, it's really catchy and the lyrics resonate with me. Rooting for this one.

Just as I thought? I'm slowly getting into this groove. I still wish his vocals were more distinct. He sounds like 100 other indiepop singers, but it does have some "bop" appeal. I figure I might as well get into the few good songs on that Alt chart. I also finally gave the MV a thumbs up.

Loving this one as well. It's relaxing and although the lyrics are a bit cheesy, they're cheesy in a rather inoffensive way.

Even though I'm still not sold on this, (this sounds like discount Grouplove musically imo, and even if it doesn't, it's a bit too cheery for me) this is going to be huge. It's already #248 all-genre on iTunes.
