OMG! The fact that d3vin44 was able to rank Patty at #6 and STILL knock her down a position proves how unbelievably close this finish truly was. castleoblivion26, I commend you for not switching Sara to #40 at the last minute to try to salvage a #1 finish for Patty! I can't say I wouldn't have tried something like that if it came down to my #1 versus one of my bottom 5s  Thank you for hosting, this was an AWESOME group of songs, with a lot of great new discoveries!! I am mostly thrilled with how the results played out! definitely will not lie I noticed that had I pushed Sara Evans down to #40 she would have been #2 but I have no interest in changing things at the end like that to get my #1 to be the #1 as awesome as that would have been. It is what the entire group chose and I thank you all for participating, I wasn't sure how this would play out, especially with the amount of unheard of artist and songs. I am gonna work on the list for my Favorite Male Country Singers and start revealing that soon though I doubt there will be as many surprising inclusions on that one. Though with all the talk throughout of how different artist may have done differently had I chose different songs makes me want to do a second rankdown of these 40 artist but different songs. Maybe someday down the road that could happen to. |

So I’m gathering a Mary Chapin Carpenter rankdown isn’t going to see much support on Pulse. Shame...but I’m still going to roll it out later this year and still expect some of you to at least consider participating in! I will definitely take part in that! Cannot wait! I’m sorry Castle! At least I gave some respect to your #1 ranking her at #6. I tell you what Saints and Angels is probably not in my top half of Sara songs, so she BARELY nabbed the top spot for me.  However I was around on www.sara-online.net back in the day when she referred to us as her “Saints and Angels”, so it holds some sentiment. This was such a fun rankdown! I kinda want you to do another one with all the ones you posted who didn’t make it! Lol no need to apologize, you ranked her at #6, it really was SO CLOSE! I won't lie I was really kinda hoping one more person would send a rank and rank Sara Evans lower than Patty enough for her to be #1 but it was not meant to be lol. Still I'm happy with the results. |

So I’m gathering a Mary Chapin Carpenter rankdown isn’t going to see much support on Pulse. Shame...but I’m still going to roll it out later this year and still expect some of you to at least consider participating in! She came in third place out of 40 songs here and spent at least some of the submission process at #1 so I'm not sure why you think participation for a MCC would be low based on this outcome, lol. I would for sure partake in that as an opportunity to listen to her songs that I'm unfamiliar with and potentially find some that I enjoy more, too. I don't dislike her or anything, but like I said before, her voice just doesn't do much for me, songwriting excellence or not, lol. I do for sure love at least one of her 90s hits that I hear on the radio a lot still though. |

I'll remain optimistic...after all I didn't expect to see "He Thinks He'll Keep Her" make the top 3! Kudos to castleoblivion26 for yet another great rankdown! I was introduced to many songs I'd never heard before and always appreciate these for expanding my music palate lol. I will definitely take part in that! Cannot wait! Mary Chapin Carpenter is celebrating 30 years this year so I figured 2018 was as a good time as any to celebrate her career. I think she's one of the greatest female songwriters of our generation. |

"He Thinks He'll Keep Her" was an excellent discovery here! I don't think it should have been anywhere close to knocking Reba out of the #1 and then #3 positions, but I definitely am glad that I have this song in my life now! Love this post because it shows how all of us from every generation discover songs on Pulse. There were quite a few songs in this rankdown that I had never heard before...and I’m thrilled to learn there were songs this 30-something country boy grew up on that y’all discovered. |

I like Mary Chapin but I LOVE "He Thinks He'll Keep Her." What a great song! I grew up loving that song and was thrilled it was featured in here. It honestly was very close to being my #1, but I would have never forgiven myself if SHeDAISY was one spot from a higher placement.
