I'm so glad The 1975 got the alternative chart success they deserved with this track. This is one of my favorites from them, with the fuzzy, synth-driven instrumentation probably being my favorite of their songs from them. The lyrics are also pretty heartbreaking. The one misstep of this song is the bridge, but I can look beyond it. Listen to me! |

This being at number one shouldn't surprise anyone, as I have grown to really appreciate The National this year, checking out most of their catalog and really liking what I've heard. This song was a great choice for the lead single, and has everything I want in a National single - well-written lyrics, Berninger's impressive vocal delivery, and superb instrumentation, especially the guitar solo on this one. And with that said, this is my favorite song to chart on my chart in 2017. Listen to me! |

Great chart. Great top 10. Surprised to see "Blame" in there, but it is a great song. I was almost sure your #1 would have been "Somebody Else". I remember that song's never ending chart run. The Americans beat the Brits.

Fantastic chart! Even though I'm not the biggest alt/rock chart, some of my favourite songs of that genre are on here as well as some great other hits.

Great list and especially Top 10, I love most of it a lot. Nice to see The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness, it's gonna end up in my Year End Top 10 too probably.
