I am SHOCKED but pleasantly surprised that this is THAT low. I found it very boring and did not really like it. But thought that everyone else loved it and would have had it high. Looks like a lot of people thought like me on this song apparently. I ranked the remix that radio played. The original would have been MUCH lower for me. |

Catching up.
I've never been a 98 Degrees fan (Nick Lachey's voice is awful) and "Invisible Man" is not a good song at all IMO. I don't think I enjoy anything from them.
"Nobody" is completely unlistenable for me lol. Good riddance.
"Mouth" isn't a very good song and Merril Bainbridge's voice is incredibly grating to me.
"Secret Garden" is terrible too lol.
"Ooh Ah Just A Little Bit" is SO annoying! This is one I thought would be in much longer, but I'm so glad it wasn't lol.
I've never been a Boyz II Men fan and "4 Seasons of Loneliness" is no exception to that.
"I Go Blind" is decent, not great by any means. I thought it would do a bit better though in this rankdown.
"Twisted" is 100% unlistenable for me. I really didn't like much of the R&B in this rankdown lol
I really like the vocal arrangement in "All Cried Out" so it found a spot in my top 40 cuz of that.
lol not surprised to see "How Bizarre" out, but it is a jam. I get why this isn't good tho lol I just happen to like it.
"Staring At The Sun" is OK. I'm honestly not a U2 fan though.
Love Madonna but "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" is just so hard for me to enjoy.
Aw, I love "Don't Leave Me" by Blackstreet. Beat and production is on point, and I've always enjoyed their vocals. Sad to see this out so soon.
"The Difference" is meh it just doesn't really go anywhere. "One Headlight" is WAY better.
I love "All For You" and think it should have gotten much higher than this.
"Every Time I Close My Eyes" does nothing for me. Absolutely nothing.
"Where Do You Go" is really good and deserved better. I thought it would do better lol
"The Freshman" is awful! Absolutely no melody to speak of. Next.
"The Impression I Get" doesn't do anything for me either. Very meh.

"Staring At The Sun" is an underrated U2 song, not just here but in general.
I also ranked "Argentina" based on the dance mix, which is the one that got radio airplay. I really liked the arrangement, and thought this version was better suited to Madonna than the movie arrangement.
"Don't Leave Me" is a classic, and "Every Time I Close My Eyes" is very good too. Give me these smooth R&B tracks any day over some of the schmaltzy ballads remaining.
I'll admit "The Difference" isn't on the same level as "One Headlight", but I still like it a lot. "The Freshmen" and "The Impression That I Get" are two more Alternative crossovers that deserved better, especially the latter.
"Where Do You Go" is solid, but I can live with where it ranked.

Apologies for no reveals yesterday. Had a bad day yesterday and was getting help on how to make revealing less work for me. 52-50 and 48-41 coming today.
The ACTUAL #52 has seven top 20 rankings, with one also being a top 10, and four bottom 10 rankings.

#46 is a song that was contending for the highest Standard Deviation at one point... and I must say I'm really baffled as to why it was so polarizing. Being eliminated are four bottom 10 rankings and six top 10 rankings... including a #1.

I didn't like "MMMBop" when it first came out due to the extreme overplay but I got into it again a few years ago. They overplayed it work during the last year so now I am on the outs with it at this time.
