Don't Speak or SCL are definitely the predictable winners. But if not, it's Toni. I'm rooting for any of those three to win!

I have left 2, 3, 7, 10, 21, 25, 26, 27, 36, and 58
Despite my rankings I actually like all of these songs so I like this top 10. Would prefer to see my 36 & 58 go first but not too bothered if they don't. Hoping my 2 or 3 can win!

I underranked "No Diggity" by at least 15 spots. The beat and flow are great. I didn't give it enough of a listen. :( At least it made the top ten, anyway. I really had no idea it would be this loved around here, lol.

21. The Notorious B.I.G. feat. Puff Daddy & Mase - "Mo Money Mo Problems" - 1331 points This song kicked ass. One of the few rap songs I love because of the melodic value.
18. Spice Girls - "Say You'll Be There" My Favorite Spice Girls song. This is probably one of the last years when I liked so many Pop songs without a rock vibe. Backstreet Boys and N-Sync were awesome too.
12. Chumbawamba - "Tubuthumping" - 1219 points One of the year's highlights.

18. Say You'll Be There (57): I don't dislike it, but it was my least favorite of the 3 SG singles here. I might've under-ranked it a bit, though, as it's still a cute smooth pop bop. 17. Building a Mystery (20): I liked this when I first heard it, but I've preferred Adia, Angel. With time, I've appreciated her lyrics even more and grown to like it more than Angel. 16. Don't Let Go (Love) (32): Quite a strong song, for sure. Happy to see it reach top 20. 15. Hypnotize (45): Strong song as well, but I just liked other songs more... may have also under-ranked it a bit. 14. You Make Me Wanna... (33): One of my favorite Usher's songs, actually. 13. Honey (37): Not one of my favorites from Mariah. Good enough to be in my upper half though 12. Tubthumping (8): I heard this today on 90s on 9 and sounded just as good as in the 1990s This was one of my top singles of the year back then. I know it's not a lyrical masterpiece, but the chants, the female-male vocal interactions, the trumpet sounds, the vocal layering in the last minute of the song, etc., etc. So different and refreshing at that time. Should've been top 10 but I didn't know so many people would root against it --wtf?!-- not surprised after seeing so many modern rock songs have been axed 11. It's All Coming Back To Me Now (4): Come on!! My first top 5 loss. IMHO one of Celine's best songs. I'm a sucker for all Jim Steinman singles and this was no exception. Plus Celine's dynamic vocals excel here. Should've been top 10! So far I still have: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 12, 15, 28, 50, 58 Sooo definitely rooting for 50 and 58 to leave soon. I don't hate 'em, but they've overstayed...

While it sucks to see some of great songs that missed the top 10, its hard to be upset really because this year was so flawless overall.
I mean, the top 10 is so strong and pretty representative of the times too. As great as it is, I'll be annoyed if "Don't Speak" wins again as there are at least 2 other songs I think are better contenders but...well, that's just me.
Considering I've only got songs within my top 25 left, I guess I feel I've done well comparatively speaking.
Oh and Wavey "Tubthumping" simply is a jam. Sorry about it. =P

Can't say that I'm surprised that Biggie missed the top ten, though I am surprised that I was the only #1 ranking.
So, what do I have left? Let's see...
2 | 5 | 6 | 9 16 | 18 29 | 32 42 | 60
I don't dislike the last two, but they've overstayed. Considering how some people have performed, though, getting six of my top twenty in the top ten, especially in a strong year like this one, is quite solid.

To kick off the top 10, twelve total top 10 losses (with eight in the top 5) and two bottom 10 losses.

Despite thirteen top 10 rankings for #9, it was never in the top 10 until the very last submission. One bottom 10 loss as well for #9.

ND: This is one of the most enduring R&B hits of the 90s, I hear it far more today than a lot of much much bigger hits.
Wannabe: Major classic. It's not their best by any means, but I've always found interesting that they had most of the other songs already done and chose this as the statement, knowing safer choices were in their back pocket if it wasn't a big hit.
