And that Candy Paint peaked at 58 ON 1/6/2018 I don't know why, but every time, one day before the next chart posting, new peaks will be revealed.

Wrong, trashy works in that context as well. Gold star taken back I didn't realize this was so important to you that you had to respond days later after the conversation ended. Not to mention you're wrong. Obviously its just as important to you as you felt the the need to respond as well. Trashy = of poor quality....That definition definitely fits since he obviously thinks the song is of poor quality. but you can keep your head in the sand if you like.

Here's the note on the date change from Billboard Plus:
The Jan. 6, 2018-dated charts you see in Billboard Plus this week are actually our charts dated *Jan. 3, 2018.* Please keep that in mind when downloading this week's batch of Jan. 6-dated charts when communicating with your staff, clients and customers. (The date mismatch is a temporary issue, owed in part to our overall charts date changes for 2018.)
Having done extensive chart database work, a date change such as this can be a nightmare. Anytime you have a database set up on a seven-day cycle and then change to a longer/shorter cycle, well, let's just say it's complicated and I understand why they have to do it this way.

^At least the Hot 100 has the date fixed. It does seem that Billboard Biz charts are still messed up ...

^ Paul works for Joel Whitburn. Billboard Plus is probably some business-to-business pipeline to Billboard info that is a premium version of Billboard.biz. I think you can download PDFs of all the charts.

Can someone explain why Bocelli got no credit and Beyonce remained? I thought the rule was "majority of the points" and I doubt perfect duet had 51% of the song's points, right? Wouldn't it had been or featuring Beyonce or Andrea Bocelli?

^By not disclosing the split for the digital sales between the original version and duet, they avoided having to justify their decision. Basically, it is an arbitrary exception what Billboard chart editors decided to do, rather than an application of the strict rule you just mentioned. To me, they want to avoid the criticism and anger of Beyhive fans even though removing the chart credit would probably be the technically correct thing to do.

Wouldn't it had been or featuring Beyonce or Andrea Bocelli? Apparently a version has to achieve 51% of the chart points for the guest artist to initially get credit. The Beyoncé version did that in its first week, the Bocelli version did not. Once a guest artist has been given credit, they continue to receive credit even if that version stops being the main point getter. So, Beyoncé will continue to receive credit even if that duet version gets 0 chart points. Bocelli, meanwhile, will never get a credit at this point as that version isn't likely to ever get over 50% of the chart points. I think that's a ridiculous rule, but apparently it is the rule.

^As I have mentioned, they have guidelines more than strict rules, that can be disregarded arbitrarily without an explanation. One example is the 20 week Hot 100 recurrent rule by which a song would go recurrent if it weren't in the top 50. While they have made exceptions to songs if a song has a bullet even if under the top 50 and losing positions, there have been a few cases in which they have allowed a song to continue to charting without the bullet.

I figured out what's wrong with the refreshed Billboard charts. It seems that all charts before June 10, 2017 have been blanked out. For that reason, for example, Shape of You shows a peak of #4 in the Hot 100 and you search for any date before that date in any chart, no chart is found.

^Yeah. At least they finally fixed the date issue in Billboard Biz charts, but in Hot 100 Recurrents, the top 2, which debuted and have 1 week charted each, they appear as re-entries, plus no more charts appear to be available with other dates. Big time mess in both sites.
