^Mostly negative numbers. The beginning of the year-end radio freeze? Yes and no. There'll be a lot of songs gaining huge amounts come 27th onwards with AC switching back from xmas to recent hits. Expect the likes of P!nk/Imagine Dragons etc to get massive gains in overall AI for about a week thanks to AC.

So, because the Bocelli version of "Perfect" isn't likely to get 50% of points, Bocelli won't get a credit right? So, that version could earn more chart points than the BeyoncΓ© version, yet she will have a credit and Bocelli won't?

"What About Us" will likely get a resurgence thanks to AC switching back from Xmas songs and from the HAC year end countdowns. "Thunder" as well. Some songs, like Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You", will likely to get large increases with the year end countdowns and AC picking it back up.

While the original version of Perfect remains at #1 in iTunes, the Duet and Symphony versions of the songs are #27 and #28, respectively, just under Shape of You.

So is this going to play out long term like S&M, where on paper (and 'historically') the #1 song has a huge notable feature (Britney on S&M, Beyonce on Perfect), but the true HIT version - the version played on most stations and that will be remembered⦠is NOT that version?

Yes. It would have been different if they had gone with either version as the main single (like they did with the Kendrick version of Bad Blood or the Kanye version of E.T.) but these were designed to get the song to #1 so they did their job.

β¦ gonna be confusing for 'future generations'... Most people don't look at charts - and certainly not chart credits - so, prob not too confusing...

So of the remaining 2017 hits, what do we think is gonna stick around at least for a little longer thanks to the year-end radio push? Even if, say, There's Nothing Holding Me Back or That's What I Like were to exit on Wednesday, they could still re-enter if they get enough. I know they won't make 2018's Year-End, but it'd be nice to have them stick around a little longer.

I wonder how the Thunder / Young Dumb & Broke (Medley) that's currently #13 will count for next week. Will those sales count half for each song or would it be considered a new song altogether?

Why link to a Facebook post of a screencap of a tweet from a meme account when you can link to the original tweet?

Is it too early to tell or is the I tunes gift card effect not the same any more? Of course it's not the same anymore. I'm interested to see if there's a "Spotify gift card" effect or whatever. Are more people getting paid streaming because of Christmas?

Why link to a Facebook post of a screencap of a tweet from a meme account when you can link to the original tweet? I was scrolling through Facebook, saw it, thought it was funny and decided to share it here. I didnβt put that much thought into it

Pretty upset about the date change. It's going to kinda throw a wrench into the chore of searching up old chart runs.
