I haven't lost any of my Top 40s yet, so if I can say the same after the next 20 reveals then I'll be very happy!

Give It Up is underrated..then again, it’s only because of Kingsman.

90. If Ever You're In My Arms Again (88): Another top 5 ballad in my personal chart, that I still have a soft spot for... although it hasn't aged thaaat well 89. Breakin' (47): >:( This was a big hit back home, and of course a symbol of 'breakdancing' (the dance and the music we called breakdance and I guess it's more like freestyle). I think it still sounds fresh and hot -biggest disappointment so far 88. Church of the Poison Mind (87): I'm a Culture Club fan, but I was never a big fan of this (since I heard it as the B side of the Karma Chameleon 45 RPM) 87. Rock Me Tonite (96): Not a bad song, but just not as memorable to me as others in this ranking 86. Got a Hold on Me (86): I LOVE Fleetwood Mac and all their members. This one by Christine is good, but my favorite from her was Love Will Show Us How (a personal chart-topper in 1984, with a video I loved as well), which I would've ranked in top 50 of 1984. 85. The Longest Time (72): I like Billy's retro style and this acapella song is a cute one. 84. Breakdance (77): I had a very soft spot for Irene in the early 1980s. For some reason, her videos had good rotation in the music programs back home --not only Fame and Flashdance but also Why Me and The Dream. Then, I heard Breakdance and got hooked with the whole fun dancey electro intro. Cool. 83. Give It Up (53): >:( Great memories of this one!!! I still remember my brother loving this song and buying the yellow Epic 45 RPM in our Summer of 1984. Strong, catchy song (I especially love the final minute with the more nostalgic vibe, the background female vocals and KC's ad-lib) that I still enjoy when I hear it 82. They Don't Know (99): I hadn't heard this one before this RD, and it didn't grab me enough 81. Undercover of the Night (69): Big fan of the Stones and their early 1980s music with some dance and rock hints, like this one. (Plus, the video was ACE!)

#90. If Ever You're In My Arms Again - Peabo BrysonThis really didn't do it for me. My local nradio station hardly played this one at all. #89. Breakin'...There's No Stopping Us - Ollie & JerryBreaking was the "big" thing back in the early 80s'. Dance music was actually pretty cool back then too. This is more or less where it eneded up on my own Top 100 of 1984. #88. Church Of The Poison Mind - Culture Club I remember really liking Culture Club back then. 80's Brit Pop ruled the charts. #87. Rock Me Tonite - Billy Squier Didn't expect Billy out so soon? This wasn't "The Stroke" ,but it was still a great Rock song. #86. Got A Hold On Me - Christine McVie Life after Fleetwood Mac was good to it's ex band members. I preferred Stevie Nicks. Also I got a P-P-P-P- PERFECT ranking here. #85. The Longest Time - Billy Joel Billy Joel's ode to the 50's "doo wap"sing alongs. The album still had stronger songs. #84. Breakdance - Irene Cara I so much prefer this to the "Flashdance" . *0's dance music at it's best. This was full of Hi- Energy Disco grooves and beats. You have to listen to the full 5:30 extended to get the complete package. #83. Give It Up - KC & The Sunshine Band I used to confuse this band with Steve Miller band. Especially when Steve Miller was on their "dance" phase. #82. They Don't Know - Tracey Ullman There are few songs from the 80's that really rubbed me the wrong way. This was one of them. #81. Undercover Of The Night - The Rolling Stones Not a very good year for the Stones. THis barely made my own top 100. For the next ten songs, I can only reveal 4, until the others show up. 92. Breakin'... There's No Stopping Us - Ollie And Jerry91. Undercover Of The Night - Rolling Stones90. Two Sides Of Love - Sammy HagarSammy Hagar released a great album in 1984 called "VOA". His style was very much like Rick Springfield. This rocker peaked at #38 on Billboard www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCuADB0n05s89. 88. 87. 86. 85. 84. Flesh For Fantasy - Billy IdolBilly Idol was one of my favorites. His New Wave/ Punk style really clicked with me. This song peaked at #29 on Billboard Hot 100. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw1oM7LBbxE83. If I'd Been The One - 38 Special I remember KLOS used to play this southern rock band all the time. I charted two songs from "Tour de Force". This one and "Back Where You Belong". This song just missed the Top 100 of 1984. It peaked at #19. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7Olj3iySkU82. Whisper To A Scream (Birds Fly) - Icicle Works I used to hear this classic, from this Canadian New Wave band, on KROQ all the time. This one scraped the Billboard Top 40 at #37. If you dig those 80's rarities, then this is your song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImJpqutxOmg81.

Doc Indie Party Rock: - Flesh for Fantasy was also a personal top 10. Billy Idol was big back home. Baby Talk was a personal and country chat-topper that followed Eyes and Flesh. - Whisper to Scream was another and personal and country top 5. Still like it till now.

Stay tuned to my top 100 of 1985. That one and "Catch My Fall" will make appearances. man, I didn't think many remembered "Baby Talk". His style was the original PopPunk. Here is a good quality of the original video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFH3_zeZA4g

Catch my fall, also good! Back home, and in my personal chart, his biggest hit was Dancin’ with myself. I was very surprised when I learned it was a flop in the US! This was amongst the highest ranked in our 1984 Summer and in the year end rankings. Another interesting fact is that in 1985 Mony Mony was another big hit back home. He was on a roll at that time and a song like White wedding came back into rotation too. Awesome times!

Huey Lewis & Pointer Sisters haven't lost any songs yet?
& Cum On Feel The Noize outlasts Round & Round - that's all wrong!

"Cum On Feel The Noise" benefited as being someone's No. 1 so it's still in (for now)...

Did you know that "State of Shock" was originally meant to be a MJ/Freddie Mercury duet? And that it was going to be on Thriller? Oh, what could have been. ("Round and Round" should not be out this early, and I will defend that song as heartily as possible. )

The demo of SOS is on YouTube for those interested in hearing the MJ/Freddy version. Though I don't recall reading that it was meant for inclusion on Thriller. Interesting.

Up next is the first song to leave the rankdown that hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 1984...one hint, it was from a movie soundtrack.
