"So Excited" (2006) was the second single (should have been the first) from 20 Y.O. It brilliantly contains a sample of "Rockit" by Herbie Hancock and although it didn't do much on the charts due to Janet being blacklist (only peaking at #90 on the Hot 100) it did get to #1 on the Dance chart and remains a favorite among Janet fans. I remember hearing the club mixes (specifically Junior Vazquez) a lot at the clubs. The video, while it featured some creative technology at the time and Janet looked amazing, was already played at this point having done so many dark industrial dance videos. I LOVED the choreography. Single cover:Video:Live:Favorite Lyric:Throw me up against whatever's close and get to bossin' me around..

My favorite single from that album. There was a bootleg mix out at the time that used the later chorus with the backing harmonies under it for all of the choruses, and I loved it. That's how I always thought it should sound.. would have made it much more classic Janet.

My fave from 20 y.o.. Too bad Khia ended up being salty towards Janet.

A bop and a half. Khia was an amazing feature for it.

JD and JJ gave me very little but this one I'm thankful for ! I enjoyed it and I know Khia's messy ass is thankful she has one other song on her repertoire. Khia can tack on another 30 seconds to the 3:42 of her other song and put on a great show and tour for 4\ minutes and change! Not everybody gets the opportunity to work with a legend like zjanet!

This is one of my favorite 2000's Janet songs. It is so sexy and fun. Khia fit perfectly on it. I thought it was ridiculous that they put her on a TV screen for her parts of the song. I was a big fan of the Junior Vasquez mix too. Him and his programmer incorporated some re-created samples of Shannon's "Let The Music Play."

Don't like it. Never have, never will. That plastic, characteristically mid-00's-urban production makes my skin crawl from the song's opening seconds that I instantly skip it. My favorite JD song on that album is "Do It 2 Me"; that one was HOT as fuck!

I wish her vocal was stronger, but it still jams. Khia's little hook makes the song for me though, I will always live for the fact that Janet put her ass on the TV screen in the video.
The Bimbo Jones club mix of this always gets me pumped when I'm running.

I hoped this would've became a hit for Janet. Sadly, that didn't happen.
I'm still not over how her team did Khia, not only did they put her on a TV screen, but replaced her bridge with an instrumental break.

One of her worst singles, but this being performed on Oprah is a moment.

Love this bop! The production gets me going. Especially the pre chorus. I thought it was going to do a lot better and I loved the mix she performed on the Billboard Music Awards. The whole song is catchy. Especially Khia’s section. Maybe some of the lyrics turned people off after The Super Bowl backlash??? Or maybe “Call On Me” sucked the energy out of the era. I know it got love from RnB radio, but I don’t remember anyone really liking that song back then. Especially younger people who were into Nelly. They mostly said it was kind of boring when I asked them about it.
