King of Closeness. (by 4 tenths of a percentage point)

I was actually happy to see a couple of my top tens fall early in the top ten, because I didn't really want to see "The Man" or "Don't Take the Money" go top five again, despite my rankings. I will say, though, that I was rooting for "I Dare You", even though, realistically, it had no chance of winning. Top four is literally just about perfect (sigh, it's okay, "Ran"...), and it took a year, but Matt Berninger finally has his #1 revenge. Poor War on Drugs, though, coming so close, only to be so far.

Once again, another fine showing as host, peacebone. I can only hope that you continue to host more of these.

Well, that's definitely a more satisfying top 10 than the Alt one, even if two songs I dislike still snuck in the lower half. The National superfans got their wish, and while it wasn't a top 10 for me, it's still very much a deserving #1. Great job peacebone and everyone who participated!

I don't think I'd be able to comment on everything that's been revealed in the rankdown so I'll just post my thoughts on the top 10.

10. Up All Night (#49) - Good start! Like I said on the Alt RD, this is a nice song (it also grew on me lately) but it's not top 10 worthy. 
9. The Man (#18) - Not complaining, it's one of my lowest remaining ranks. Great song, glad it made top 10 again.
8. Can I Sit Next To You (#3) - Didn't expect it to go further than this so I'll definitely take it. Such a good song, the bassline is great.
7. Don't Take The Money (#50) - Great, glad it didn't go top 5 this time, I was actually worried about this winning. It's a fun song but there are better tracks.
6. I Dare You (#12) - Really happy it got so far, love this one, much better than On Hod.
5. High Ticket Attractions (#26) - Wow, this is a huge surprise. I had no idea it was this loved, I was expecting it to be out in the 20s. It was one of my favorites discoveries here so I'm glad it made the top 5 honestly. Perfect top 4!
4. The Gold (#4) - PERFECT RANKING! Wow at the number of top 3 ranks for this. I discovered it a couple of weeks back and couldn't stop listening to it, the guitar is so good and the singer's vocals are really nice too.
3. Hot Thoughts (#10) - This is another great one. Kind of grew on me since the alt RD. The beat is nice. Glad it didn't make the top 2 though because this top 2 is perfect.
2. Holding On (#2) - PERFECT RANKING! This song is beautiful, the instrumentals are amazing and his voice is very nice too. This would've been a very deserving winner too :/
1. The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness (#1) - PERFECT RAKING! Yes! Amazed it won despite the tankers, I wasn't sure it would make top 5. What can I say more, it's a perfection and a totally deserved winner.
