iHeartRadio Countdown Top 100: 2017

Hi all,

Very surprised to see some missing songs, which I thought had charted this year and heard frequently throughout the year.

Here are the surprise upsets that are missing, which I know z100 frequently played:

Adele - Water Under the Bridge
Lady Gaga - Million Reasons
John Legend - Love Me Now
Sia - The Greatest
Gnash / Olivia O'Brien - I Hate U, I Love U
Twenty One Pilots - Heathens
X Ambassadors - Unsteady
Coldplay / Beyonce - Hymn For The Weekend

While I realize that the last five above charted in late 2016, I thought they would be eligible for 2017 as they charted in 2017.


Weird choice:

Noah Cyrus' Stay Together makes the countdown at 100, but her other "Make Me (Cry)" with Labrinth does not. I thought that was higher and more popular of the two.
Shawn Mendes' Treat You Better makes the countdown, but I thought that went recurrent at the end of 2016?


Other songs that I thought would have charted in the 100-90 range but did not were:

So sorry, but I think I had the wrong link. It had 100 songs on it, but it actually was not the real list. All the songs made it that I thought were missing after all!

Ok just listened to the top 100 I heart. Why on earth was despacito number 14? That song was in the top 10 on all access year end for spins and was the number 2 song most shazammed this year. It seems like the year end charts are dramatically skewed towards songs from the end of 2016 vs the most popular songs released later in the year. I thought a year end countdown was supposed to be a representation of the full year in pop music? So basically if this is how they do it, we might as well lock Havana and perfect in the 2018 year end top 10 right now. Throw in rockstar new rules bad at love and too good at goodbyes in the top 20 of 2018 as well. Ridiculous. I understand closer being 5 since that song was a monster, but to include side to side and don't wanna know over despacito and attention is ridiculous.
