The Hot 100 isn’t science. It’s a game. The individual component charts are (mostly) objective measures, but how they all get weighted and added together is a made-up ever-changing formula where there’s no scientific driver behind how the points and percentages are determined. It’s Billboard’s subjective call.
So when you accept the reality that the Hot 100 is subjective, you’re not complaining about some affront to science, you just don’t like the formula and rules they use. And if that’s the case, get a job there and convince them to change it. Complaining about the same damn thing over and over again about what you don’t like is exhausting. Nobody’s mind is being changed by this. Let it go and move on. None of this matters.

This week is gonna be a total mess. Using the formula, I got this (won’t share points) 1. Perfect 2. Rockstar 3. Havana 4. Thunder 5. No Limit 6-7: TGAG, Gucci Gang 8-9: Bad At Love, MotorSport 10-11: Bodak Yellow, New Rules Oh god Hoping Number 10 is New Rules instead of Bodak Yellow And that number 6 is TGAG over Lil Pumpernickel

I like the recurrency rules. We would still have Uptown Funk charting otherwise. I like the song and all, but without recurrency rules you get ridiculous stuff like Mr. Brightside charting for well over 100 weeks on the UK. Do you still consider that early 2000s track to be "Hot"?

If the recurrent rules weren't applied, probably we'll miss a lot of new music. Without the recurrent rules I can imagine a lot of older songs that still getting good streaming overshadowing newer songs (Uptown Funk, SUAD, Hello, Closer, DLMD, etc...)

I'm confused as I haven't been following the charts lately and the date change left me in a funk. What is the tracking week for 1/13 and when will it be posted.

The sales/streams tracking week just concluded on the 5th and the radio tracking concludes on the 8th. The top 10 will be announced tomorrow, the 8th, and the chart in full will post on the 9th. The Wednesday releases these past weeks were due to the holidays, not the change.

83.(+61) BRUNO MARS & CARDI B - Finesse 26.951 (+12.590)
It added a couple formats, Urban + Urban AC, which added ~6.5 mil audience above. Still, it gained at least 6 million in audience in today's overall update!

^ I swear if it hits #1 again after over a month...
Meanwhile, Breaking Benjamin of all acts is in the Top 10 on iTunes right now. If that charts along with Finesse and Filthy, we could be in for a very interesting week. Then again, Walk on Water by 30 Seconds to Mars didn't chart when it came well on iTunes.
And looks like How Long will finally become a real hit.

Guess Finesse will have a huge jump It sure will. I hope this song is the next number one to be honest. I’m not even the biggest fan of Bruno Mars but Cardi and him just go off on this song and their chemistry seems to real. Anyone know how Filthy seems to be doing? Do we have our next Perfect Illusion on our hands?

^The latter may be closer to a Million Reasons assuming that JT's Superbowl performance provides it a similar boost. Regarding, Finesse, simm from ATRL predicts a top 40 debut for the song based on its first day and One Foot should finally debut.

Could Havana go #1 on the week of the album release? If she discounted it on that week I can see her selling a ton. Havana's chart run is starting to look similar to Starboy.

Since Simm doesn't include the artist names for the debuts.
Finesse = Bruno Mars
One Foot = WALK THE MOON
Corazon = Maluma
A Girl Like You = Easton Corbin
Best Friend = Sofi Tukker
Outta Style = Aaron Watson

So, with the chance of two top 5 debuts (Filthy & Finesse), what was the last time that there were 2 top 5 debuts?
