Joel Corry's latest single is Top 5 bound, while Tom Grennan could secure his first Official Top 10 hit.
Nathan Evans is riding the waves towards a second week at Number 1 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart with Wellerman.
After the viral sea shanty claimed its biggest week of sales to date last week, Wellerman leads today’s Official Chart: First Look, and was the most downloaded and streamed song in the UK this past weekend.
The Official Chart: First Look, which airs on BBC Radio 1 every Sunday between 6pm – 7pm, offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.
Dance anthem Friday by Riton x Nightcrawlers ft. Mufasa & Hypeman is bopping towards the top of the chart, up three places midweek to Number 2. Fellow party tune BED by Joel Corry, RAYE & David Guetta is also on an upward trajectory, rising three spots to Number 5.
Justin Bieber is on track to claim this week’s highest new entry with Peaches ft. Daniel Caesar and Giveon, the most streamed new release of the week so far. Taken from his new album JUSTICE, the song could secure Justin his 25th UK Top 10 single, and fellow Canadian collaborators Giveon his second, and Daniel Caesar his first.
Other JUSTICE tracks are also set to impact this week – Hold On, fresh from a Comic Relief performance, lifts 17 slots to Number 14, and As I Am ft. Khalid occupies Number 24.
After claiming his first UK Number 1 album on Friday, Bedford singer-songwriter Tom Grennan’s momentum continues as his single Little Bit of Love could crack the Top 10 for the first time, currently at 10.
The Official Singles Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.

Plus new hits from Justin Bieber, Griff and Lil Tjay enter the Top 40.
Nathan Evans, 220 Kid and Billen Ted’s Wellerman has made it to Number 1 for a second week on the Official Singles Chart.
The viral hit holds tight at the top with a lead of 10,000 chart sales on its closest competition, A1 & J1’s Latest Trends, which lands the most streams of the week.
Justin Bieber earns the highest new entry of the week with Peaches ft. Daniel Caesar and Giveon, at Number 3. Justin also lands two further Top 40 songs this week: Hold On, which flies 21 places to Number 10 – bringing his Top 10 count to 26 - and As I Am ft. Khalid, which debuts at Number 24.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, Riton x Nightcrawlers’ Friday ft. Mufasa & Hypeman climbs to a new peak at Number 4, while Joel Corry, Raye & David Guetta’s BED is up two to Number 6.
Further down, Ella Henderson & Tom Grennan climb into the Top 20 with Let’s Go Home Together, rising two to Number 19, whilst D-Block Europe & Raye gallop six places to Number 30 with Ferrari Horses. Pop singer-songwriter Griff earns her first Top 40 hit with Black Hole, flying in at Number 39 following the announcement that she’s the 2021 winner of the BRITs Rising Star award.
Finally, Headshot by Lil Tjay ft. Polo G & Fivio Foreign debuts at Number 40 – Lil Tjay’s third Top 40 track, Polo G’s second and Fivio Foreign’s first.

Drake singles out of top 30 in three weeks..
The top 5 on singles chart is disastrously bad at the moment, at least Peaches is there.
Love to see Lana at #1 on albums!

Plus Lil Nas X's Montero slithers into sight as the highest new entry midweek.
Friday by Riton x Nightcrawlers ft. Mufasa and The Hypeman first entered the Official Chart Top 100 some ten weeks ago, but could this week finally see the party anthem make it all the way to the top?
After the first 48 hours of the chart week, the dance track which samples Nightcrawlers’ Push The Feeling On and went viral as a dance craze on TikTok during Covid, currently sits at Number 2 on tonight’s Official Chart First Look, just behind Nathan Evans’ Wellerman.
Reigning chart champ Nathan Evans from Airdrie in Lanarkshire, takes the lead in the race to Number 1 with sea shanty Wellerman, but with less than 2,000 chart sales in it right now, it could still be all change between now and Friday’s final whistle.
Following the success of his recent Number 1 album, Tom Grennan surges forward on the midweek Official Singles Chart, looking set to potentially secure two places in the Top 10. Little Bit Of Love is up six places to Number 7, while collaboration with Ella Henderson, Let’s Go Home Together, climbs 11 places to Number 8.
A steady ascent up the Top 40 over the past seven weeks sees ATB, Topic and A7S on course to break the Top 10 for this first time on Friday with Your Love (9pm), currently up three places to Number 9. Its peak position to date is Number 11.
The highest new entry of the week so far is Lil Nas X’s Montero (Call Me By Your Name) at Number 15. The song caused a stir online this week, taken from his forthcoming debut album of the same name which is due to land this summer, it celebrates embracing sexuality and addresses the homophobia he has experienced.
In response to claims that its bold, unapologetic video packed with biblical symbolism is part of a “system” intended to corrupt American youth, the 21 year-old from Georgia responded on Twitter: “There was no system involved. I made the decision to create the music video. I am an adult. I am not gonna spend my entire career trying to cater to your children. That is your job.”
British singer Mimi Webb trails one place with Good Without (16) – the second highest new entry of the week after two days.
Tune in to The Official Chart with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1 this Friday from 4pm to see who makes the Top 40's final cut.

The indie-pop anthem that can’t be kept down averages 1.2 million UK streams a week.
Mr Brightside by The Killers continues to prove the chart hit that can’t be kept down as this week the track logs a record-breaking 260th non-consecutive week – or a full five years - on the Official UK Singles Chart Top 100. It may be April 1, but we can confirm this 100% true.
No song in UK chart history has notched up anywhere near as many weeks in the Top 100 - the closest is Snow Patrol’s 2006 Top 10 hit Chasing Cars, at 166 weeks.
Mr Brightside has become the stuff of legend on the Official Chart. The indie-pop anthem spent just four weeks in the Top 100 upon its original 2004 release, peaking at Number 10. The years since have seen it become a staple at many a party or club night, helping it rack up lots of streams and downloads every week.
In December 2018 Mr Brightside reached a landmark 1 million pure sales (downloads and CD sales), while its streaming tally currently stands at 281 million UK plays, making it the most-streamed song of any track released before 2010. Its total UK chart sales is a whopping 3.52 million.
The power of Mr Brightside shows no signs of slowing down yet. Despite the country being in lockdown for most of the past year, the song has been streamed 65.2 million times in the last 12 months – that’s an average of 1.2 million plays a week.
And in 2021 alone, Mr Brightside has spent 11 of the first 12 weeks of the year inside the Top 100, placing at Number 78 in the latest Top 100 – not bad for a song that was released 17 years ago.
Looking at other long runners on the Official Singles Chart Top 100, Ed Sheeran’s Christmas Number 1 Perfect is the most recently-released chart mainstay, logging 165 weeks since 2017, while Frank Sinatra’s signature hit My Way is fourth on 133 weeks. Kings Of Leon’s 2008 chart-topper Sex On Fire is fifth on 124 weeks.

The US rapper and singer claims his second leader on the Official Singles Chart.
Lil Nas X lands in pole position on this week’s Official Singles Chart with Montero (Call Me By Your Name.
The US rapper and singer earns his second UK Number 1 with the track, following his breakout smash Old Town Road in 2019.
Montero has caused a stir online this week for its devilish music video, leading it to becoming the UK’s most-streamed song of the week with 6.8 million plays, 2.5 million of which were video streams.
Montero is the second single to debut at Number 1 this year, following Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License in January. Watch Lil Nas X's reaction to the news below.
Last week’s chart-topper, Nathan Evans’ Wellerman, drops to 2, and after ten weeks of climing, ATB, Topic & A7S’s Your Love (9pm) finally clinches a place in the Top 10, up four to Number 8. Meanwhile, Tom Grennan claims his first Top 10 with Little Bit Of Love, which lifts three places to Number 10. His other single, Ella Henderson collaboration Let’s Go Home Together, edges closer to the Top 10 at Number 13, climbing six spots. Another big new entry this week comes from Mimi Webb. After early success on TikTok, the British singer-songwriter makes her Official Chart Top 40 debut with Good Without at Number 17. Close behind, British rappers Russ Millions & Tion Wayne are new at Number 21 with Body, their first and ninth Top 40 hits respectively. Further down, Rasputin by Majestic & Boney M zooms 11 places to Number 38. The popular track on TikTok, which sees the North London DJ remix Boney M’s 1978 disco hit, sees Rasputin back in the Top 40 for the first time in 43 years. Finally, US singer-songwriter Giveon lands his first headline Top 40 entry with Heartbreak Anniversary, up three places to Number 39.

Reigning Number 1 artist Lil Nas X is seeing a challenge from predecessor Nathan Evans.
Nathan Evans’ Wellerman ft. 220 Kid and Billen Ted is taking on Lil Nas X’s Montero (Call Me By Your Name) for this week’s Number 1 single following the latter’s tight Number 1 debut.
Wellerman is in the lead on today’s First Look but it’s set to be another close race, with the two tracks just 500 chart sales apart after 48 hours.
Riton x Nightcrawlers’ Friday ft. Mufasa & Hypeman stands just another 700 chart sales behind at Number 3, giving the track an opportunity to take the lead over the next few days.
Joel Corry, Raye and David Guetta could earn a place in this week’s Top 5, as BED climbs two places to Number 5. If it holds on it will become Joel’s third Top 5 hit, Raye’s second and David Guetta’s 14th. MORE: Mr Brightside surpasses five years on the Official Singles Chart
Ava Max flies up six with My Head & My Heart, setting course for a new peak at Number 13, and finally, Leave The Door Open by Silk Sonic rises six places to Number 17, potentially landing the Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak project a new peak by Friday’s chart.

Huge hits from Olivia Rodrigo, Nathan Evans, Little Mix and Justin Bieber are among the biggest of 2021 so far.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License zooms straight into first place as the UK’s biggest song of 2021 so far.
The US singer-songwriter’s debut single was an instant global smash upon its release in January, landing at the summit of the Official Singles Chart and pulling up there for nine weeks, making it the longest-running Number 1 debut single in 15 years, since Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy in 2006.
At the time it first hit Number 1, Olivia told OfficialCharts.com: "I want to say thank you guys so much, it means the absolute world to me that you guys are listening to and loving Drivers License. Sending you all the love in the world."
In second place is another debut single, Wellerman, by Scottish singer-songwriter Nathan Evans. After becoming a viral sensation on TikTok with the sea shanty last year, Nathan signed a record deal with Polydor to give the song an official release – including a remix with producers 220 Kid and Billen Ted. Wellerman has since notched up 396,000 UK chart sales, including 41.2m streams, and is a true global phenomenon, topping the charts in nine countries.
Other popular songs that sound-tracked TikTok challenges, dance routines and comedy skits have propelled up the Official Chart this year include: CJ’s Whoopty (18), Streets by US singer and rapper Doja Cat (20), Latest Trends British newcomers A1 & J1 (21), SZA’s uplifting Good Days (25) and Wes Nelson & Hardy Caprio’s See Nobody (38).
Australian rapper The Kid Laroi claims the UK’s third biggest song of the year so far with breakout hit Without You (356k), while Tiesto is fourth with The Business (331k) – the Dutch producer/DJ’s joint-highest charting song in the UK after peaking at 3 last month. The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights, the UK’s biggest song of 2020, rounds out the Top 5.
Don’t Play by Anne-Marie, KSI and Digital Farm Animals – a Number 2 smash in January - is at 6. Rapper KSI and producer Digital Farm Animals also pick up another entry further with their Craig David collaboration Really Love (39). Plus the first Number 1 of 2021 - Little Mix’s Sweet Melody - closes out the Top 10.
A flurry of dance tracks have kept us moving in the third lockdown - Irish producer Shane Codd places at 9 with his debut single Get Out My Head, while Travis Scott & HVME’s Goosebumps (12), party anthem Friday by Riton & Nightcrawlers ft. Mufasa & Hypeman (14) and ATB and Topic & A7S’ Your Love (9pm) lands at Number 30.
And finally, big new releases in the year-to-date Top 40 include Justin Bieber’s Anyone at 11, Ed Sheeran’s Afterglow at 15, Ariana Grande’s 34+35 at 17, and The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears at 22.

Polo G is not really challenging, the gap is pretty remarkable (and Peaches could overtake Rapstar even)
