When I tell you when that breakdown at the end of Right Words Wrong Time hits with those strings...I am in a puddle on the floor from there on out. This album is a masterpiece but Right Words Wrong Time is one of the highlights of her career, honestly.

1:52–1:57 in “I’ll Be Your Girl” sounds exactly like Kylie Minogue 🤯

I don't often wander into the album/artist discussion section anymore, but Carly has that power.
The album is perfect.
Perfect.
Why doesn't radio love her? Ugh.
(Seeing her in September for the first time, technically second when she came out for 2 songs during "Bleachers" at Coachella. I was forced to go to Bleachers, not a fan, but was so thrilled for a great surprise...lol)

I much prefer this to Emotion. I like a handful of songs on that album, but I find this richer and more interesting.

“I Want You in My Room”, “Automatically in Love”, and “I’ll Be Your Girl” are three of the best songs in her discography. The whole album is perfect though.

I'm currently bopping my ass off to I'll Be Your Girl Yesterday I was living for Automatically In Love & Want You In My Room The other day I was being moody and resonated 100% with Too Much And then a few days ago I was celebrating with Now That I Found You
This album currently is life Only songs on here that I think aren't all that are Real Love & The Sound, both of which just fall flat despite being promising at a point

I'm currently bopping my ass off to I'll Be Your Girl Yesterday I was living for Automatically In Love & Want You In My Room The other day I was being moody and resonated 100% with Too Much And then a few days ago I was celebrating with Now That I Found You This album currently is life Only songs on here that I think aren't all that are Real Love & The Sound, both of which just fall flat despite being promising at a point Aww this post makes me happy! Want You In My Room is my favorite. I wish we got a third chorus but it’s addictive, like We Belong Together (not that I would DARE compare lil Carly to Mariah) but it’s similar in that it ends before I want it to... so I play it again! I’ll Be Your Girl is essential listening for any No Doubt fan. That song would NOT be out of place on Return of Saturn and that’s facts! Too Much has the most relatable lyrics of my life!!! Be careful if you wanting this touch... Cardi and now Carly warned you... BE CAREFUL WITH ME. Now That I Found You slays combined with the cat music video, I literally sang it to my cat before the video at the “waking up next to you... every morning.” Automatically in Love is a SLOW BURN. Took like 5 tries. Can’t get that gorgeous chorus out of your head. Try. Just try. The only argument I have with your flawless and unquestionable taste is True Love. I am in a long distance relationship and I “go every day without it, all I want is real real love.” It hits me very close and the first cassette tape I ever purchased in my life was The Writings in the Wall by Destiny’s Child. I love that she shouts it out, and that it’s the lonely song on the album. That pre chorus, pre drop... “I got the feeling you’re the right thing after all...” Tears. Well done, Carly!

The masterpiece of 2010's pop turns four years old today! Still love this album to pieces. Happy anniversary! 🥂✨😍🙇♂️ Daw!! (Although wasn’t this only the Japanese release? I think in America we had to wait until August.) This album vindicated and validated me in every way. I bought Kiss and became obsessed with Carly in 2012, told everyone, played her for everyone, and was judged mercilessly. Then Emotion came along. Slowly but surely, “flops” be damned, Carly gained respect, acclaim, fans, and carved a little niche for herself. And Run Away with Me is only a couple hundred thousands Spotify streams away from 100,000,000! I don’t think I can name any songs that didn’t even chart that have that many streams. Talent and quality always wins!

Damn!! 4 years already. I am ashamed to say that I didn’t like Emotion at first (because I was listening to it at work and not paying enough attention) but then the second time I listen to it I was hooked and have loved it ever since, along with Side B.
I honestly like Dedicated almost as much and have been listening to it non-stop. So far the only album I bought all year (and it will probably stay that way...).
I’m seeing her in September and can’t wait!

Would love to hear that album! She uses the lyric “Sweat disco all night” in “Everything He Needs.”

It does give me some hope that we'll get an EP released at some point like Emotion Side B

Idk why but LA Hallucinations is currently my late night bop.
In contrast, Want You In My Room is my daytime bop.

What's the consensus on this tour? Anyone hear anything about it? There are still tickets left for her Cleveland show this Sunday and I'm mulling over just going solo because all my friends are trash and don't appreciate real music.

There are still tickets left for her Cleveland show this Sunday and I'm mulling over just going solo because all my friends are trash and don't appreciate real music. I have been reading reviews and they’re great! 22 songs, 90 minute set, a couple of comments from Carly but mostly just the music, 1 outfit change, giant disco ball, and a nice mix of songs from Dedicated and Emotion - apparently she’s doing Store live, which makes me so happy! I am sorry your friends don’t get it - I bought Kiss the CD and was so hooked, I spent 2012-2015 being mocked by all my friends, then I showed them Emotion and they came around to Carly. I bought them all tickets to her show in fall 2015 and they were $30 bucks each, I bought 5 because no one would go and I was promoting Carly hardcore. Now I bought one ticket and it was $120 bucks. Crazy!

It was a very similar experience to her last show. Just super good vibes, great crowd, everyone there is hyped af and knows every word. If you're a fan, I can't recommend it enough, such a positive, feel-good time. She kinda sprinkles pixie dust wherever she goes IMO.
I did the VIP experience too and it's worth it. Got to meet her and get a picture. The Q&A and soundcheck were cute. And the early admission alone... I was front row right in her face.
*edit* my friend asked her about the disco sweat album and she said she's probably going to release it at some point.

I had a great time too! I agree with Ling-Ling , that it felt very much like the "Gimme Love" tour. The "Emotion" tracks really HIT with the crowd, while the "Dedicated" tracks were hit or miss, unfortunately. I was so glad she did "Happy Not Knowing", "Fever", and "For Sure" was a highlight, for me at least. It seemed like most in my general vicinity didn't know the words to that one. I was vibin' tho, IDGAF. I put together a Spotify Playlist for anyone interested in hearing how things flowed throughout the evening: Did she reveal any juicy details or tidbits during the Q&A, Ling-Ling ?! I heard someone yell out "DISCO SWEAT!!!!!" during "Julien" so I'm curious if anyone else mentioned that during the Q&A or something.

She didn't reveal anything juicy at the Q&A, most of the people just asked her fluff questions. My friend actually asked her about Disco Sweat when he went up for his picture with her. I hope at the very least we get an Emotion Side B situation with a bunch of high quality leftover tracks.

Has she ever performed "Body Language" anywhere because I think my soul would literally leave my body if I saw that in concert.

It was SO GOOD! That chorus live!! Thank you guys for your concert reviews, I am getting so so so excited. I’ve been following the set lists and so far she swapped “I’ll Be Your Girl” with “Fever” and very recently, “All That” with “Real Love” which is such a treat. It’s my second favorite from Dedicated, and All That is torture live, it’s just too slow, it totally killed the mood.

Basically it’s all in Interscopes hands
