With Whitneyβs certification this week, I wonder how close βTrue Blueβ is to Diamond? Anybody know?

An EP based on the original U.S. CD maxi tracklisting of "Secret" was made available to stream and buy. It includes the radio/video edit, several of the Junior Vasquez remixes (2 Luscious and 1 Sound Factory versions), and the full Allstar and Bizarre Inc ones.
This would have been a good opportunity to include the longer Junior Luscious version with drum intro and Luscious Dub, Sound Factory Dub, the DMC mix which is vinyl only, the Allstar and Bizarre Inc radio/single edits. There are also unreleased downtempo Junior Vasquez remixes.

With Whitneyβs certification this week, I wonder how close βTrue Blueβ is to Diamond? Anybody know? It's 7xP. It's eligible for 8xP. The only big streaming hit off of it is LIB. Others: Confessions is eligible for 2xP. Hard Candy is eligible for 1xP. TIC is eligible for 11xP. LAV could go 11xP. Maybe LAP 5xP?

I gather that for Track Equivalent Albums, they only look at digital sales and not physical-single sales? If they did, that would nudge some albums past their next levels, if they weren't already close to or beyond it.

^That's the question.
PDP and TB are both Gold physical.
If both are certified 1xP digital, is that 100k towards a new cert or only 50k?

Not only that, areyouready, but singles that potentially sold 500K+ and were ever certified. We know those were never a priority with WB. When they certified a few '80s singles in the later '90s, they probably had a certification budget and picked three, to go along with "You Must Love Me."

I like this version of Bye Bye Baby. The main difference is in the vocals. They are less high-pitched and more breathy.

Of all songs to go with on EROTICA they went with this ? I mean I like it but the vocals are almost non existent. WAITING should have been a single. Hell even SECRET GARDEN would have been dope.

I believe the release was limited to Italy, Switzerland, and Australia / New Zealand. I think the timing of the release was to coincide with the Girlie Show hitting the Australian market, as the rest of the singles had run their course but they wanted something actively out there. But for me, I always loved this song from the second I heard the album. But my actual two favorite songs on the album were Bad Girl and Where Life Begins. One flopped as a single and the other obviously would never have been released as a single.

"Erotica" is probably my second favorite Madonna album. (possibly 1st) I don't own them all but, I always had most of her singles. At the time "Thief Of Hearts" was my favorite track on there along with the title track, "Bad Girl, Deeper And Deeper and Bye Bye Baby". After her SNL performance of "Fever" I started to really get into it. I also really liked "Why's It So Hard, Where Life Begins" and "Waiting" wasn't to bad either. As a whole I REALLY liked "Erotica". I'm usually not huge on Madonna's album tracks.
Thanks to whoever brought this album up. It still sounds good today and doesn't sound all that dated to these ears..

With that said, my fave album tracks are Bad Girl, Words, Secret Garden, Waiting, Deeper and Deeper, In This Life, Rain, Thief of Hearts, and Fever.

Something To Remember is a fantastic album that reminds people Madonna has fantastic ballads that are hugely underrated.

^That sum would have been higher than 130m at that point. Ut's been reported that her records total was ~ 300 million, and she sales past 2000 wouldn't be enough to get from 130m to that total.

Thirty years since The Immaculate Collection- still remains my "desert-island" album. The chronological order, the template-setting, era-defining music, the cultural waves. Just a glorious piece of work.

Wow good for Madonna!! Even if your not a fan you have to respect her work ethic and just the fact she keeps pushing on. The strive for relevancy is real. lol 37/38 years scoring hits and just being on any chart is an accomplishment for a pop star. Go Madonna!!
