I do both!
I have all of her albums from 1994 onward on either CD or vinyl (or in the case of music and celebration, both). Plus I got Madame X on vinyl last month after seeing it 30% off - so that I also have on vinyl and CD.
I mostly listen to music by streaming though but if Iβm cooking, the record player goes on.
Going back to her not being particularly good to her catalogue, I do find Madonnaβs music has been upheld quite well by fans of her and 80s music in general, plus sheβs a staple on 80s stations and in pop culture in general. Thereβs probably more that could be done though.

Yes amazing interviews. I love how M stood up to Harvey Weinstein and put him in his place. Brown: We were at a test screening of the film. Harvey began to talk to her about his ideas for the film, and she just lays into him: βListen, I put up the money for this movie. I donβt care what your point of view is. I never want to hear it. Who the hell are you to tell me what kind of film I should be doing? This is mine and Alekβs. Shut up and I donβt ever want to hear another one of your ideas about it.β He just crumpled. Keshishian: I recall her saying at one point that he did try to kiss her, and she said she pushed him away. Even in public, Madonna was like, βGet away from me, you smell like a fucking ashtray.β In that respect, Madonna was already more powerful than Harvey. Rosenberg: I think he was a little afraid of her, since heβs into having power over women. He understood he was not in a position to give her shit. Madonna (New York Times, 2019): Harvey crossed lines and boundaries and was incredibly sexually flirtatious and forward with me when we were working together; he was married at the time, and I certainly wasnβt interested.

Ling- at least the Shep dance mixes (including the one on The Immaculate Collection) will satisfy most of that quench. :)
I don't use Spotify much; even when I had a three-month Amazon Music trial, I didn't use it much. Then again, I don't even pop CDs in as much as I used to.

Madonna (New York Times, 2019): Harvey crossed lines and boundaries and was incredibly sexually flirtatious and forward with me when we were working together; he was married at the time, and I certainly wasnβt interested. For Madge to stand up for herself back then given the time and the industry, it was huge. She told him to fuck off and kept it moving! π I pictured the incident in my head while reading (it would be awesome if it was included on the movie actually, lol).

Don't get me wrong, I love my physical copies, but I stream daily on Spotify and YouTube. Its free so why not. Most cars don't even have cd players anymore, why not stream when your driving??
I'm streaming right now as I play cards with mom.

I use Pandora for some Psy-Trance music stations, or 60βs-90βs stations, or classic rock. Itβs either that or Iβm just shuffling thru my iTunes downloads while at the gym. In the truck itβs the radio cuz Iβm lazy.

It's just sad that Madonna has nothing planned for the 30th anniversary of TOD. She needs a new manager stat.

I still buy physical product for certain artists but I stream mostly for new music because itβs just super easy to listen to new and older stuff I curious about. Streaming has led to me buying albums and singles too.

Streaming has led to me buying albums and singles too. Same. I only purchase physical copies from my main divas, Madonna, Kylie, and Loretta Lynn. Everything else is just streamed.

I'm the same. I mostly buy physical copies of my fave artists, but go on Youtube to listen to other artists.

Ling- you're talking about the longer video edit, set to Shep P.'s mix, I gather? The shorter video is pretty much the 7" edit (it sounds a little faster on vinyl, though). Yeppers! That's the one. It's my absolute favorite mix/edit of the song. What is left out of that mix that's in the video version? Meanwhile I discovered this one recently and have been listening to it some:

What is left out of that mix that's in the video version? It's so bizarre how they edited the song. There's two versions of the video. The one I like is the longer one, it takes the Remix/Edit version and switches out the intro with the intro from the Local Mix. The shorter video edit is basically the 7" Inch remix with the Local Mix intro tacked on. I prefer the instrumental on the Remix/Edit version, but it's missing the iconic intro on it's own. I mean, I genuinely like all versions of the song, but the longer video version is the perfect version IMO. And of course it's not available, lol. Normally I wouldn't be such a stickler for edits and all that mess, but "Express Yourself" is one of my absolute favorite Madonna songs.

A little gem I discovered a while ago. Maybe not a gem, but interesting and a throwback. Back in 1985, Madonna's first remix album was released...but only in Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador. It had the imaginative title of "Madonna Mix." It is mixed like a DJ set with each song flowing into the other like "You Can Dance" and "Confessions on a Dancefloor." Given the trends of the era, it sounds dated and the transitions are clumsy, but still fun. It was an official release and is listed in her Wikipedia discography.
Side A: Borderline, Holiday, Into The Groove Side B: Angel, Material Girl, Dress You Up

Thirty years later, Alex Keshishianβs behind-the-scenes look at Madonna on her βBlonde Ambitionβ tour remains the template for the modern pop-star documentary

I think it is. Dua Lipa said in an interview that Madonna sang Lucky Star over it but they had to cut it.

90. "Hung Up"
"This bridge keeps up the throbbing energy, throwing just enough of a melodic curveball that when the chorus swings back around, it's a seamless transition from an 8.5 to a 10 on the Disco Inferno scale."

The Immaculate Collection returned to the UK Albums chart this week, coming in at No. 97; this is the 349th listed week on the chart. On the UK Album Streaming chart, it climbs five spots to No. 91, in its ninth total week on the chart (No. 89 peak). On the downloads chart, TIC re-entered at No. 60; it's racked up 62 weeks, with a No. 11 peak.
