I'm proud of Madonna for rightfully calling out DaBaby over his Ignorant comments, As a Fan I like how she isn't afraid to speak up for what's right.

M really stepped up by calling out D.B. while so many others are silent.

Awww, I was hoping "Ain't No Big Deal" would surface since it was the B-side to several singles from this album in different territories.

Queen serving 4 videos. In what universe is Like a Prayer not in the top 100?
90 Justify My Love In a post-“WAP” and “Montero” world, it might be difficult to remember just how skilled Madonna once was at stirring up controversy with a new music video. She managed to outdo herself with the erotic reverie of 1990’s “Justify My Love,” which was so spicy that MTV actually banned it — and thus guaranteed its immortality. Filmed in noirish black and white, the clip (directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino) depicts the pop star experiencing a sexual awakening through a series of encounters, including a three-way with a passionate same-sex kiss. There are also brief glimpses of gay life and kinkiness in shots of a trio of gay men cuddling on a couch and a bare-chested femme domme practicing BDSM on her male partner. Those are considerably less taboo topics 30-plus years later, and this clip — and the woman at the center of it — deserves at least a little credit for pushing them in that direction.—J.F.
54 Material Girl Not everyone can out-icon Marilyn Monroe, but Madonna just about pulled it off with this 1984 clip — nearly a shot-by-shot remake of Monroe’s “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” number from 1953’s Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. While Monroe swooned over sparkles, however, Madonna is after something deeper: financial security and, sure, love. During the course of the video, she’s wooed by a rich director (played by Keith Carradine) who pretends to be poor to win her heart; in the end, she’s more impressed with his humble daisies than a fleet of suited men laden with bling. Shot by Mary Lambert — who also directed the 1989 film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary — “Material Girl” would become the blueprint for feminist videos for decades to come. —B.E.
31 Ray Of Light When Madonna picked Jonas Åkerlund to direct the video for the title single off her 1998 album, he had just come off the Prodigy’s “Smack My Bitch Up.” But instead of following one person through a drug-fueled night out, Madonna’s clip — which won a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video, and a VMA for Best Female Video — streams through a day in the life of the entire planet, shuttling through cities from New York to Stockholm as Madonna dances over the footage chanting upbeat lyrics (adapted from the 1971 Curtiss Maldoon song “Sepheryn”) that reflect her then-newfound love of motherhood, yoga, and Kabbalah. “The ‘Ray of Light’ video is basically a day in the life of the earth to show that we are rushing forward toward the end of the 20th century at full speed,” Madonna said at the time. “I think Jonas made an excellent interpretation of the song, even though he forced me to dance like crazy for two days. He’s a tough director.” —E.G.P.
03 Vogue Hands, hands. Face. Body. “Come on, vogue” — Madonna commands it, and the world listened. Voguing was an outlandish, nonviolent way of “fighting” in New York’s queer, underground ballroom culture — and was often more athletic, involving contortions and martial arts influences. (See: Jennie Livingston’s landmark documentary Paris Is Burning.) But in the video — Madonna’s third collaboration with director David Fincher, following on the heels of the equally exhilarating “Express Yourself” — the dance was a refined form of feminist posturing and a statement of sexual defiance. “We cut this thing together as quickly as we could,” recalls Fincher. “We shot the video in, like, 16 hours, that was it. She got on the plane and went on her world tour.” The video was choreographed by classically trained dancer José Gutierrez and his best friend Luis Camacho, both members of the House of Extravaganza and two of the seven male dancers who’d also join her on the legendary Blonde Ambition tour. Although accusations of appropriation have plagued Madonna ever since, there’s no denying that she successfully elevated ballroom to the mainstream, creating a global fanbase. We can never forget to thank the blonde bombshell’s iconic video for inspiring countless queer kids to “strike a pose.” —J.P.

I would have replaced ROL and MG with some other Madonna videos which are far way superior than these two.

ROL isn't even the best video from that album, let alone one of her best. "Express Yourself" and "Like A Prayer" not being on there makes no sense.

"Like a Prayer," I'm pretty sure, appeared on a past Rolling Stone Best Videos list. And, it's not like "Express Yourself" hasn't featured well on similar ones.
The Immaculate Collection drops 15 spots to bring up the rear (No. 100) on the UK Albums chart (356th week in the top 100). On the Albums Streaming chart, it descends nine spots to No. 79 (20th week on the chart).

ROL got all those awards, so of course it would rank that high. Vogue really is iconic isn't it? Like next level above anything anyone does these days iconic. Subhuman, almost.

SPIN MAGAZINE
#4 MADONNA
Madonna became the queen of pop in part by borrowing cleverly. She shrewdly put her own spin on Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in “Material Girl,” had David Fincher recreate Metropolis in “Express Yourself,” and took Harlem ballroom dance culture to the mainstream in “Vogue.” But just as many Madonna videos are clever original creations, from the frolic through Venice in “Like A Virgin” to the provocative “Like A Prayer” and Chris Cunningham’s darkly haunting “Frozen.”

RE the Spin 100 Greatest Music Video Artists- given her status in the field, No. 4 seems too low. Though a placement outside the top five would have been even more outrageous. She was No. 1 on Billboard's 100 Greatest MV Artists.
M fared pretty well on all the recent Spin 2020/2021 lists. A recap:
The 35 Best Videos of the Last 35 Years: No. 1, “Like a Prayer”; No 20, “Justify My Love” The 35 Best Songs of the Last 35 Years: No. 3, “Like a Prayer” The 35 Most Influential Artists of the Last 35 Years: No. 3 The 40 Greatest Music Video Artists: No. 4 The 35 Greatest Concerts of the Last 35 Years: No. 6, Blond Ambition Tour (1990) The 35 Best Albums of the Last 35 Years: No. 8, Like a Prayer The 100 Greatest Rock Stars Since That Was A Thing (per founder Bob Guccione Jr.): No. 78

Unfortunately, none of M's post-Immaculate tracks get recurrent play comparable to Immaculate-era hits. Now, I don't know what kind of airplay '90s hits are getting on classic-hits stations that have turned to the '90s some. I don't imagine, however, that the such hits will get heaps of play. "Take a Bow" is probably getting the most play of the 1992-on period. It used to get more play than it had been getting at last check, and perhaps may see increased play on classic-hits stations that add '90s material, as it's AC-friendly.
M's heyday is considered 1983-1990, despite the fact that she scored some more major success thereafter. So radio will always gravitate to that time period. Just the way it is. It's that way with other major acts, as well. You'd think a track like "Don't Tell Me" would get decent recurrent play at AC and Hot AC (it was never promoted to the former, oddly enough).

Nice to see "Live to Tell" in the top 10, given that it's a "basic" video by M standards.

Anyone ever felt like GHV2 is sort of overlooked? Although it has sold about 1.5MM copies, it is always sort of forgotten about. I think it is because it omits a lot of singles and contained no new material. These reasons are probably part of the equation, but I also think it came out a time when hits compilations were generally becoming less in-demand because iTunes was becoming a thing. It may have fared better if it had been released right after (or with) Beautiful Stranger's release.
