Is no one going to mention the very cringe worthy video featuring Amy Poehler, Judd Apatow, Bob The Drag Queen, etc.? I donβt think Iβve ever been more turned off by an artist. Oh come on. Most of us are just as out of control and wild and even wilder than what we saw in the video. As with all things Madonna, she doesn't do it just because. There was a purpose.

Friedman and Piers Morgan are certified Madonna haters. They'll keep on being press after hearing the tour's success :kii:

They'll keep on being press after hearing the tour's success :kii: Piers Morgan hatred of her is so random and sounds like he made it up on the spot because he was expected to explain himself. His complaint was that they were at a dinner party and he threw a dinner roll at her as a joke and she got mad. It then ballooned to him nonstop berating her. As for this Friedman guy...he just sounds like a bitchy queen whose only personality trait is being a bitch.

So in thinking about a playlist for this tour, I was starting to wonder would we have to hear La Isla Bonita one more time? That got me thinking about the songs she has performed the most on her tours. A little check with setlist.fm shows the following are her top 5 most performed songs: 1)Holiday: 435 times 2)La Isla Bonita: 429 times 3)Like a Virgin: 413 times 4)Vogue: 406 times 5)Like a Prayer: 387 times This is the full list: www.setlist.fm/stats/madonna-bd6bdbe.html

One thing Iβm worried about with this tour is that I fear sheβs going to stick with the biggest songs, rather than the many moderate hits that she rarely ever performed. Granted it makes sense to play the biggest hits! But if I never heard La Isla Bonita again my life would be all the better lol.

She probably could have done stadiums in the US. SoFi stadium would have soldout for sure, so would have MetLife stadium.

She probably could have done stadiums in the US. SoFi stadium would have soldout for sure, so would have MetLife stadium. Madonna 2023 Tour Dates:07/15 β Vancouver, BC @ Rogers Arena 07/18 β Sea I remember an interview years ago where she said she hates playing stadiums because she has bad luck with rain. She said that in some cities, she has to do stadiums because it is sometimes the only option or she doesn't have the time to park it for many nights in an arena. I do remember that the Who's That Girl Tour played many stadiums, even some in the U.S. I saw it at Giants Stadium and it was POURING the entire time. I believe the opening night was in Miami and it had rained for the first part of the show. You can see by the time she got to Causing a Commotion her hair was straight and a mess. Also, one thing I always notice about her shows...if you see a clip from an early date on the tour, the show seems less refined than when you see a later date. What I mean by that is she sometimes switches up the choreography a little bit or adds a little something later on after she has performed it many times. Like in the performance of CAC below, later on she added a little gesture where she kisses her finger and touches it to her hip (She doesn't do it this clip). On Blond Ambition, during express yourself, she initially didn't do the little moan when she rides Slam...or when she does the walk during the line "queen on a throne..." its just a regular walk which eventually morphed into her walking like a regal queen with her hand out..etc. Just little things like that I always watch for.

Perfect example of a song that she should perform but probably won't.

The opening number that changed pop diva tours forever. To this day I do not think any Madonna opening number or any other pop diva opening number even comes close. In my prior post, I mentioned how she changes performances up a little bit from the first to last show. This is an early date in Japan. It is amazing and full of energy. However, the following things changed over time:
-she doesn't moan when she humps Slam (later on she did) -she doesn't grind into Slam when she sings "queen on a throne" and her walk is less regal queen -when she sings the line towards the end "and if you want it right now, you better make him show you how.." she does this stroke gesture near her crotch. This eventually morphed into pointing to each shoulder, each hip, and eventually her crotch.
Btw, Slam is so hot and he knows it.

I got tickets to her Montreal show! Nosebleeds!
I tried tickets for four shows but all the others were priced really high. Even the other Montreal show had comparatively higher prices than the ones I got so maybe I got lucky or they scammed me when they saw my account logged into four queues at onceβ¦
Either way, itβll be my first time being in the same space as her (not like Iβll actually see her since Iβll be so far away, but still!)

Mine was in the second section down from the very top, so if you're asking "decent" - probably not. I would have tried to get better seats closer to the floor but it wasn't showing anything lower than those sections and I didn't want to risk losing out entirely (as what happened last time I tried getting Madonna tix) so I just took them. The Toronto seats I saw were much higher so I just closed out of those and said nope. It's possible the cheaper ones went faster, but the ones I saw were like $400 for a pair in similar areas as the ones I got. I should have taken screenshots.

I paid around $800 for a single ticket in the 105 section at Madison Square Garden. It is a few sections away from the stage on the left and just off the floor. Highest I have ever paid. I sucked it up because she is finally doing the tour I have been hoping for and who knows if she is going to do a show of this capacity ever again. Folks who are speculating on her f-ing up the setlist with some random songs she likes to do, I don't think that will be the case this time. It is being billed as a greatest hits tour and she has 38 Top 10 songs to choose from. I can see her maybe throwing in one of her newer singles that she happens to like, regardless of chart performance, but I doubt that would be the majority of the show. I am expecting HITS :)

I feel like seeing Madonna live is like an essential for any pop music fan in their lifetime so Iβm glad I finally get to!
