Some of the second half of {Evita[/i] runs more like a long music video, but then it comes back strong with the last section with Eva's illness and such. M's performance was impressive in those scenes.
"I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You" is one of my favorites from the album.

You must love me is a career highlight to me. The movie scene made me :’( and I was super proud of her live performances. And my mom was positively surprised I do go back to Another suitcase, Buenos Aires, Rainbow high, and High flying adored more often. And sometimes to Don’t cry but more to the ridiculous but fun remix

There was a fan version that was uploaded and had more views than this, but it was finally taken down, so now this should go up a bit more faster.

That DCFMA remix should be on Spotify for sure!

I was always shocked that my pop station was playing DCFMA, it always just seemed strange to me. I can't believe how high that peaked on Top 40 radio. I've honestly never seen Evita. But I really think "You Must Love Me" is a beautiful song.

I mean hearing the “Eviitaaaa Eviittaaaa” chant to the tune of a Latin dance beat always cracked me up, as did just the idea of dancing to the lyrics of the chorus with a Latin, flamenco flavored beat. Like wtf? My mom would ask me to please stop listening to that bastardization of a classic

Evita is criminally underrated, the movie, the music, everything is perfect. These days i'm listening to I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You. "I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You" is my favorite song from the Evita album, her vocal delivery, the instrumental, everything is just great. I love "High Flying Adored" as well. This orchestra version is so moving:

"Buenos Aires" was supposed to be a single, but then was scrapped at the last minute. However, the official mixes were serviced to the clubs almost a year after the movie was released and it peaked at #3 on the Hot Dance / Club Play chart.

So one of my favorite albums, Erotica, doesn't even have 36 million streams on Spotify!
So...let's give Erotica some streaming love this tracking week! #streamerotica

Both Taylor and Rihanna have cooled a little bit, so I think her record is safe for awhile.

In regards to the Evita topic, I'm still upset she didn't help write YML and win an Oscar!

I almost got a ticket for speeding and it was the dance version.

Madonna's sister Paula on the Oprah Winfrey show. This was in the late 80s. You can see the resemblance and hear the Detroit accent that Madonna used to have, until she got all uppercrust with her diction. You can sense a bit of envy and bitterness here. She doesn't shade Madonna at all, but she does seem to feel like she is in her shadow. I believe the sibling Madonna is closest with and I have heard her praise her in interviews is Melanie. Melanie is married to singer Joe Henry who helped write some songs with Madonna (Don't Tell Me, Jump, and Falling Free). I don't know what her relationship with Paula is like. She doesn't seem particularly close with any of her siblings outside of Melanie and formerly close with Christopher. Here is an article about all of her siblings and an old photograph she did with Life magazine in 1986 at the launch of her True Blue look. In that black-and-white photo, the resemblance among all the siblings is striking.

Madonna/Mariah Carey on a song called Angelfire. Produced by Patrick Leonard and William Orbit for the movie then called All that glitters.
Does this seem like it’s even true!! I hope it is. I love it. Both sides can stop throwing shade at each other now.

Seems legit, but I don't remember if it was ever confirmed as true.

Same here I didn’t know this had actually happened! I read the interview extract and sounds like it would’ve had a more dance pop style? Madonna’s recollection may be a bit different lol but in any case I would’ve loved to see two of my all-time favorite acts doing a song together. Nice to see an example of collaboration though, as many times people have said they can’t stand each other -although I haven’t seen any example of that in the past 20 years...
