Now that the George Strait rankdown is finally wrapping up, it's time for me to start the next artist rankdown I have been teasing you guys about for like half a year now. She's everybody's favorite redhead, Reba McEntire!!! She is a 4x CMA Female Vocalist of the Year winner, tied with powerhouse vocalists like Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood. In fact, she is one of the biggest idols for both of those ladies. With a career spanning from the mid-'70s to the present, Reba has had the opportunity to inspire multiple generations of female vocalists. She recently passed Dolly Parton to become the most successful female country artist of all time, based on chart success, and is firmly within the top 10 country artists of all time as well. One thing about I love about Reba the most is her ability to continually reinvent herself, while still somehow remaining true to herself. She is an expert at staying fresh and modern, fitting in with trends without ever coming across as a trend chaser. This is a very diverse list of songs, ranging from traditional country music to modern gospel, containing duets with pop mega-stars such as Kelly Clarkson and Justin Timberlake, with covers that range from Patsy Cline all the way to Beyonce. And despite the evolving nature of her catalog, pretty much all of it is AWESOME!! Reba has such a strong sense of who she is as an artist, and it really shows in her confident vocals and song selections. This has undoubtedly contributed to her long-lasting success, and helped her maintain relevancy longer than literally all of her peers. So here they are; all 100 of her singles and guest singles! The Songs:

I know that this rankdown will be a huge undertaking, even for those who are fans of her. Therefore, I am setting the deadline for 2 months from now, on May 4th. I want people to have plenty of time to participate if they want to :-) If you liked George Strait's rankdown, this one will be just as epic!! Also, just saying, if you participated in the Reba McEntire Danger Zone a couple years ago, you should already be familiar with almost all of these Anyway, I look forward to celebrating this awesome career and incredible lady with all of you! I'm so in! I don't know why Reba never crossed my mind, but what a perfect rank down to follow the epic George Strait rankdown.

I probably need to go listen to the first 7 or so before ranking them. The rest I know well-enough without even needing to, but making a list will make me want to put them on anyway.

I also had enough time on my hands to make a Spotify playlist for most of these songs:
The only ones missing are "(You Lift Me) Up to Heaven", "She Thinks His Name Was John", "Why Haven't I Heard From You", "What If", and "Somebody".

Deciding if i can listen to this much Reba consecutively. It'd make anyone a better person to listen to Reba constantly. Go for it! (Not that you're not a good person, I tried to make a joke...didn't seem to come out right when writing it, lol.)

The only ones missing are "(You Lift Me) Up to Heaven", "She Thinks His Name Was John", "Why Haven't I Heard From You", "What If", and "Somebody". Thanks! I appreciate it! Those are the most random songs to be missing though... Lol I know for a fact that I have listened to all of those on Spotify before except for "What If"... Edit: The playlist says there are 99 songs on it. Are you sure those are all missing?

So Trisha and Reba are going to take over my playlist for the next couple of months What about Patty Loveless? Don't forget her! Anyways I am definitely taking part in this because as much as I love her music I have never really listened to a lot of her earlier 70's and 80's stuff so this is my chance to get to know a lot of music I've missed. From the 90's on I pretty much know all of the music very well. This is gonna be really hard to rank.

Kinda like Shenandoah's "Rock My Baby" from my '92 RD isn't on Spotify, but some of their other songs are.

It was a promotional single, but being from the mid-'90s, it was long forgotten by the time streaming and purchasing services came about. Fortunately it is still a single by a superstar, so there are plenty of videos on YouTube and stuff :-)

I’m 51 songs into this and... Lol hopefully that is a good thing... What I have found is that Reba is just as hard to rank as George, but in a different way. George was hard to rank because he started swinging hard right out of the gate, and literally never let up in quality, and it is practically impossible to pick out differences in quality even between different decades. Reba is hard to rank because her material seemed to get better and better through the years! Most of her '70s and early '80s material is poorly produced and forgettable to me, but then you can literally feel her blossoming into one of the biggest superstars of all time while you are listening through the list. And once that shift happens, every song seems to get more and more iconic... So if you are listening to the list chronologically, it creates a very odd dilemma where you find yourself placing every new song towards the top of the list, but then watching other amazing songs get shoved further down. At least that was my experience while listening to this!

I feel so bad I'm working on my list atm and the early singles I actually like, but there so weak compared to everything from her MCA years that they're just going to get slaughtered.

I'm now at 79+ songs and yes doing this chronologically creates a lot of dilemmas...but I think that is the best way to tackle this one. btw...how are you handling album tracks? I wasn't going to rank them this time like I did for the George Strait rankdown but rather send them chronologically (much like you did them for his).
