Regarding "Another Shoulder At The Wheel": This song is absolutely beautiful........for about 1 minute. Then the first chorus kicks in, and the song reveals that it has literally nothing to offer other than a pretty verse. The chorus is boring, and the whole song fails to live up to the high expectations that the intro and first verse seem to be leading up to. Usually when I feel that way it is just a first impression and then the song sinks in quickly and I start to love it, but so far that has not been the case with this song. That being said, I hate that I had to rank this #10 :-( The album left a lot of room for Jo Dee to grow as an artist, for sure, but nothing on here is anything close to resembling BAD. And the verse, like I said, is beautiful  |

Down to the Final 6!
I love both songs eliminated today. I love the idea of "Another Shoulder At The Wheel", it is a beautiful song. I also really like "I Didn't Have To Leave You" and didn't expect people to dislike it as much as they did.
Tomorrow we lose the first single to leave us plus the first song to get a #1 rank will leave us.
The other song had a #2 ranking.

Guessing "Do You Wanna Make Something Of It?" since we're losing a single, even though I love that one. Probably "Let It Go" too. I expect the top four to be three singles + "On a Wing and a Prayer."

 SERIOUSLY!?!?!? This to me is BY FAR the second best song on the album. No question. I do not get the dislikes here.... EDIT: Okay, I can probably see why people dislike it, it is repetitive. I don't care though, perfect 90's Country music JAM!

"Do You Wanna Make Something Of It" has definitely grown on me over the years but I did not like it one bit the first time I heard it and it took a long time for it to grow on me. Jo Dee sounds great and it is a fun song but I don't think it should have been a single. In fact I think "Let It Go" would have been a better single as that song is in my Top 10 favorite songs from her, I have always loved that one.
tomorrow night I will reveal the Final 4, hope everyone will be around for it!

Aaaand I'm back to having perfect rankings again, lol.
I originally predicted this would be the first single out even though "He'd Never Seen Julie Cry" went out a few slots earlier in my career-spanning Jo Dee Messina rankdown late last year, but I definitely like that one more so I'm glad to see the order switched here!
ETA: Oh "Let It Go" went out while I was working on my post. What a great Top 4. Glad to see my favorite album track lasted the longest like I predicted. <3

is anyone surprised by the Top 2? something that will probably not surprise anyone: 8 people ranked the same song #1! 3 others ranked the other song in the Top 2 #1. I am the only person who did not rank either of the Top 2 at #1 (my #1 was "Let It Go" which you guys did dirty  ) |

"On a Wing and a Prayer" was an album track that stood out to me a lot when I was listening to the album (along with "Let It Go")! Glad to see it make this far!
