What are some songs that climbed up radio charts very quickly, only to plummet just as fast? I know U2's Get On Your Boots peaked at #5 on alt but only spent 8 weeks on the chart, anything top that?

Not close, but Nine Inch Nails' "Survivalism" had a pretty short run on Alt too for a number one single.

Linkin Park's "The Catalyst" too.
Van Halen's "Tattoo" plummeted on the active rock charts too, spending only 8 weeks as well:

The granddaddy of them all, LWYMMD! It became the first song in history on Mediabase to peak at #1 on the pop airplay chart and eventually be purged rather than go recurrent. Holds the record for both biggest single week increase AND decrease for the chart.

For it to have fallen, it had to have actually risen. :sip2:

For it to have fallen, it had to have actually risen. I get your point, (it didn't outpeak it's debut position on the hot 100) but I was looking at the pop and adult pop songs radio charts, where it actually climbed from it's debut position. Isn't the thread referring to chart runs on radio?
