In some ways I am, in others, not so much. Of course it could have been executed better, but the circumstances have to be considered as well, pandemic and all. Another single should’ve been released at the very least especially after ROM turned out to be a smash in Europe. The 911 video was nice tho.

I think what bothered me the most about the era is that she completely stopped talking about it. Yeah, the lack of performances disappointed me but what disappointed me the most is how she acts like it never existed. No interviews, no tweets, no Instagram posts/stories. She did a couple of those back when the album came out but then nothing. It gives off the feeling that she either didn't like the album or something else. Pandemic or not, the album rollout could have been better. This is false. In addition to a September CBS Sunday interview where she touched on Chromatica, she most notably committed to a lengthy four-episode GAGA RADIO series with Apple over the course of the month of August that featured major collaborators from the album. These were quite awhile after the album release in the grand scheme of things.

Not disappointed in the least! Well, except for reasons already mentioned. We didn't get further singles therefore we didn't get the deserved visuals. But the album was a serve, the album was well-received and got her another #1. She seems happy about it and so I'm happy about it. I will take a love letter to the fans any day over pandering to people that don't want her anyway.

Yas Albie! For as short as people like to make this era out to be, it's important to note a lot of eras as of late consist of singles and visuals that come out before an album that is a DOA. You really don't get to experience the singles and visuals in the context of the album. I think the visuals (I'm not using the word "singles", because in today's reality I really feel like that only relates to radio and f**k radio) were at least spaced out enough to make it feel more like the traditional era her fans are used to, most of which predate the streaming era.

I'm satisfied and I think they played their cards right for the most part. It was smart to not throw out another single at radio after "Rain On Me" since that one barely made the Top 10. A third single (whatever it would have been) probably would have went Top 20 at best so it's not really a loss. It sets her next lead up better coming off of a Billboard #1.
The album helped with her streaming presence which, in itself, is a win for her and her catalogue. We got a video for a non-single. The album went #1. Could we have gotten more performances and interviews? Yes... but we're also in a pandemic so I'm not bothered that she didn't. It's not like she's been lazy with her other eras and it's not like she's an up and coming artist that needs the visibility. She's Lady Gaga and it's her sixth album. Chromatica has been a success given the circumstances.

I guess it just felt like they were not long after the album. 2020 was a strange year and we all know that time stopped then lol.

CNN just announced that Gaga will sing National Anthem at Biden's Inauguration. While this is a great honor, i'm not sure if it's safe enough to have the ceremony with all those performances.

I adored her during her peak; like full-on obsessed about her every performance and song. She started losing me a bit with the "Alejandro" video being a bit weird just for being weird instead of the weird but fun aura of her previous stuff like the BR video. By Born This Way it all felt very gimmicky, and idk, forced, to me so I lost interest. I liked the ARTPOP singles and "Million Reasons" and "John Wayne" but I never really got back into stanning her until A Star is Born. I revisited a lot of her older stuff after that and ended up appreciating a handful of tracks way more now. I hope she comes back stronger into the promo and hectic schedule thing with her next project. Chromatica was fine as an album (although not close to her best), but the lack of promo really made it feel like a small era in comparison to her previous projects. I'm sure COVID played a role in that, but still. Bar the strikethroughs, these are pretty much my sentiments exactly. I heard "Just Dance" before it was even charting and knew she was gonna be the next it girl, just not to the extent that she ended up being. I don't think there was ever an artist to ever just blow up like she did. Watching it was incredible, especially during The Fame Monster. I remember checking blogs for leaks almost every day (and I'm still mad the version of "Alejandro" we got doesn't hold a candle to the leaked demo). The "Alejandro" video was when she lost me too, though. I think she started to take herself too seriously, and shock art was never my thing. Virtually everything about the Born This Way era sucked, except the "Judas" bridge, "s**t," and "Heavy Metal Lover"—criminally underrated song, arguably the only song with a sound to outlast the record. I knew she'd lost me completely when Pop Justice previewed "Judas" calling it the next "Bad Romance" only for her to make an eleventh-hour decision to change it into something they said was completely different (and much worse). After that I just checked for her casually, but nothing held my attention the way her foursome with the Jo Bros, maybe I have a dick maybe I don't, GoFundMe budget music videos self did. She's insanely talented, and she's got a great sense of humor, but she'll probably never have me like she used to. I also recognize that around Born This Way/ARTPOP she was going through a lot of drug-related issues, so maybe that had something to do with it. The one thing my senior thesis advisor told me NOT to do was make any art under the influence, it would almost always be s**t. Edit: I'll give "John Wayne" a pass though, but only because of the Bayonetta reference.

I loved her rendition. Not over the top, but passionate and heartfelt. You can feel her emotion, especially in the last part when she belted for a bit. Her entrance was a moment regal Gaga. Maybe a bit too much for the typical crowd, but I don’t think we could expected less either. It was a bit unfortunate for the follow-up acts who did their best but there was just too long of a vocal prowess distance between them and Gaga...
