Funniest thing is that GUMMO, The Race, KOODA, and KEKE are each getting more airplay than LWYMMD. LWYMMD biggest flop lead single since I honestly don't know and Reputation biggest flop album since I honestly don't know. 😂😂😂😂😂 Reputation was the only album of 2017 to sell over 1 million copies 🤔🤔🤔 It’s also the most frontloaded album of my lifetime. It literally hasn’t even done 2x plat pure yet even tho it did 1.2m first week. |

^Although outside topic, not to mention it managed to outsell her previous one in the first week in spite of not having a major hit to follow up LWYMMD. The artist which managed to have higher album sales in 2017 in their first week were very few. That said, it hasn't done as well after that due to lack of sales and hits. |

While reputation was without any doubt very frontloaded, becoming the year's biggest seller in one(!) week after the release is still very impressive. The problem is that there isn't a hit to sustain album sales unlike 1989 who had several songs to push the album.

pure sales is only one aspect of sales — the album was not the best selling of the year in terms of SPS

At least when LWYMMD got down to the 70's it sort of stopped, Perflop Illusion went 15-42-59-69-96 I think and then had one more week because of the album. It literally charted for less weeks than the lead single for that Gwen Stefani album nobody remembers from 2016 |

Also, I don’t see a bunch of people say it is a “great success”. I think a lot of people think it had a pretty large impact on pop culture with its lyrics and video, but not this “great success” you’re talking about. |

Welp... I'm convinced. Converted even. That video was amazing, mad props for Drake. The song is still faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from being a favorite of mine, but I'm no longer remiss about it being #1.
