If How Long doesn't crack the top 20 ,it'll be the first CHR top 3 to miss the top 20 on the hot 100 since...? I think the answer to this is Stacy's Mom by Fountains Of Wayne

Also, it's so impressive that How Long is at #21 for 4 weeks in a row. Is this the first time for a song that is outside of the top 10? How’s this for a random chart fact: In 1996, Everything But The Girl’s “Wrong” debuted at #68 and stayed there for 5 weeks straight before falling down the chart. Another bizarre one from 1996: Michael Jackson's "They Don't Care About Us" entered the Hot 100 at #30, then held there for 4 weeks before dropping to #38 and falling out of the top 40 the following week.

^ Yeah, but those were the mid 90s. The slowest and weirdest decade for the Hot 100.

Didn't Leona Lewis' Better in Time also spend a lot of weeks at #11? I think it was three in a row but I don't remember exactly.

Omfg can How Long go top 20 already?! It's been at #21 for a month now I'm pretty sure Rick Springfield's "What Kind of Fool Am I?" spent 6 weeks at #21 in 1982. I remember it was there for a long time - and it was highly unusual to have such a long-peak that far down the chart.

And the first song to debut in the top 10 was "Hey Jude" by the same group, the Beatles. Yes, and the third.. Then it wouldn't happen again until the 90s "Let It Be" entered at #6 in March 1970, breaking the two previous songs' record for highest debut in the top 10.

That's when Billboard had that weird rule that songs couldn't move down the chart until after they had lost their bullet. It created a lot of false peaks. That and the payola scandals are probably why Billboard canned the chart director of that era Bill Wardlow.
