Yes Finesse is Number 2 !!! Havana had a good run on radio I can only imagine it'll be in the top 10 for 2018 year end list. Now for Perfect to keep falling off on radio so Finesse can take that number 1 spot on Radio.

A bit late of a heads-up, but today is Presidents' Day, so that means the Top 10 reveal will very likely be delayed to tomorrow.

They have confirmed the charts will update on Wednesday in the BB200 article, meaning as per usual that this does push the top 10 reveal back a day.

Again? Didn't it just happen with the MLK day? Is every US holiday on Monday this year?

The U.S. does it right, making their holidays fall on mondays. That's wise. Too bad it affects us so often though.

MLK, President's, Memorial, and Labor Day are all on Monday, every year. Oh crap, really? I thought that MLK day and President's day were just on MLK and Washington's birthdays. "Major" US holidays for future reference: January 1 - New Year's Day [celebrating the first day of the new year] Third Monday of January - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day [remembering MLK and his contributions to American society as a pioneer in ending segregation] (Jan. 15 is his actual birthday) February 2 - Groundhog Day [very strange tradition of watching a groundhog pop out of a hole to see if he sees his shadow thus predicting the weather for the rest of the winter] February 14 - Valentine's Day [celebrate love and relationships, mainly commercialized to sell chocolates and flowers] Third Monday of February - President's Day [originally a celebration of George Washington's birthday, now a date to celebrate all incumbent presidents] March 17 - St. Patrick's Day [celebrate Christianity being brought over to Ireland, now mostly a day to celebrate Irish heritage, wear green, and get drunk] - I don't believe this one affects Billboard. A Sunday between March 22 and April 25 closest to a full moon - Easter [celebrating Jesus's resurrection] -----Ash Wednesday, Lent, Good Friday, and Easter Monday all stem from this. Passover is also related, though it's a Jewish holiday. April 1 - April Fool's Day [day of pranks and jokes] - would never affect the Billboard charts, though plays a role here on Pulse May 5 - Cinco de Mayo [not an American holiday, but due to the large number of Mexican immigrants in the US, has become a popular holiday here as well with people usually drinking and throwing Mexican-theme parties] Second Sunday in May - Mother's Day [commemorating mothers] - would never affect Billboard Last Monday in May - Memorial Day [remembering fallen soldiers] Second Sunday in June - Father's Day [commemorating fathers] - would never affect Billboard July 4 - Independence Day [celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence] First Monday in September - Labor Day [celebrating the American worker] September 11 - Remembrance Day [commemorating those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001] - Don't believe this has ever affected Billboard, and TBH, I fully expect this holiday to fade into obscurity as 9/11 drifts farther into the past, much like Pearl Harbor Day Second Monday in October - Columbus Day [celebrating Christopher Columbus's "discovery" of the Americas] - I don't recall if this one affects Billboard, and this holiday is rightfully under scrutiny with several cities and states opting to not observe it anymore October 31 - Halloween [initially a celebration of harvest season, now a holiday involving anything and everything involving horror, spookiness, and of course, candy and costumes] - Never affects Billboard First Tuesday in November - Election Day - Never affects Billboard November 11 - Veterans Day [celebrating military vets] Fourth Thursday in November - Thanksgiving [celebrating the first successful harvest season of the pilgrims and commemorating European settlers coming to the Americas] - Used to affect Billboard, doesn't anymore Fourth Friday in November - Black Friday [large sales and discounts at retailers to mark the beginning of the Christmas shopping season] - never affects Billboard The Monday following Thanksgiving - Cyber Monday [Black Friday, but with online retailers] - Never affects Billboard unless they decide to start selling things 25th Day of Kislev - Hanukkah [Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, lasts for 8 days, Anywhere from late Nov to late Dec on Gregorian Calendar] - Never affects Billboard December 24 - Christmas Eve [the night before Christmas] December 25 - Christmas [Christian holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus] December 26 - Kwanzaa [celebrating African American heritage in the US, lasts for 7 days] December 31 - New Year's Eve [celebrating the end of the year]
MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day are always guaranteed to affect Billboard. Most state/government run facilities are closed on these days as well. New Year's, Christmas, and Independence Day are likely to affect Billboard depending on what day of the week they fall on. Most businesses and schools are closed during these holidays, and several places are closed from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day. Easter probably affects Billboard too. I don't remember 100% if it does or not. Many businesses are closed on Easter Sunday and several stay closed on Monday, but several are abandoning that. Good Friday might also see some school an state closures as well. Some state/government run facilities close for Columbus Day, but many are now choosing to not to due to the controversy surrounding this holiday. Some places are closed on Vet's, MLK, and Pres Days, but most are not. The places that usually close for Vet's Day will either close on Vet's Day or the previous Friday/following Monday if it lands during the weekend. I believe several state/government facilities are closed for Remembrance Day, but not all like the other holidays. Thanksgiving is also a major holiday with most businesses closed. Several will remain closed on Friday unless participating in Black Friday.
The other holidays listed are basically just observances where people celebrate them on their own times. Typically no one is ever off work or school for those (Valentine's, Halloween, St. Patrick's, etc.)

WELP It doesn't seem like anything currently charting will pass Drake's song, so it's more about when something new will come out and blow up. I don't know of any superstar releases coming out in the next month or two, but then we didn't know about "God's Plan" when the "Finesse" remix dropped and seemed like a surefire #1. There could also be something 'random' like "See You Again" or "Black Beatles." Who knows?

How dominant is God's Plan?
It's early but I think God's Plan is gonna double Perfect/Finesse's points next week with something like 76k vs. 38k. Shape Of You (7th week/71k points) and Blurred Lines (9th week/82k + 10th week/76k) are the only songs this decade to double the #2 hit in points after more than 4 weeks at #1.

I'm sure we will have some big releases coming soon. March and April normally see some big song reveals. When is Cardi B going to drop her album? That could be pretty massive. Maybe a big Nicki Minaj return? Other urban acts surprises, etc.
Either way, I love that Drake is so dominant. It's legendary

Regarding big releases, Ariana Grande's lead single was rumored to be released around March. That could be a #1 debut if the song is good and Drake slows down.

It would have to be a REALLY big deal, and I don’t think that a new Ariana Grande song could generate the same buzz that got Look what you made me do and Shape of you to number one

I don't see Ari making a #1 debut with whatever her output is Lower half of top 10 or maybe like #4 or so

Ariana is coming off of Manchester, so I could see the song debut at #1 just by sheer hype. But she has never really dominated streaming or sales, the bulk of her influx comes from airplay. 2-4 debut for Ariana is what I expect, I do think the next #1 is gonna be another Post Malone song once he drops that belated follow-up to Stoney, or Rihanna's lead single.
Drake is never gonna die tho, especially since he's apparently dropping an album in a few months.
