While we wait on crazi to submit his ranking, let's do a little survey to pass the time! And let's keep things simple for this survey... 1) What songs do you expect to see in the top ten? 2) What songs do you expect to see in the bottom ten? 3) What songs will have the highest standard deviations? 4) What songs will have the lowest standard deviations? 5) What songs do you think may surprise with their performance? 6) What songs do you think may disappoint with their performance?

1) What songs do you expect to see in the top ten? Through Glass, Tool x2, Woman, The Diary of Jane, Wasteland, Dani California, Miss Murder, Hypnotize, Hole in the Earth. Wings of a Butterfly could sneak in here if people don't tank it for not doing too well on the charts.
2) What songs do you expect to see in the bottom ten? Nickelback x2 (excluding Savin' Me), Get Stoned, Crazy Bitch, Foxy Foxy, Inside of You, Dirthouse, other songs from some of the forgotten artists. (idk) A few supporters may make Lips of an Angel escape bottom 10.
3) What songs will have the highest standard deviations? Hinder x2 (LoaA or Rockstar the highest SD), Nickelback x2 (excluding Savin' Me), Crazy Bitch, Rapture, maybe at least one of the Coheed songs, Devil's Got a New Disguise, Image of the Invisible
4) What songs will have the lowest standard deviations? Wings of a Butterfly, (I mean, HOW can you tank this) Through Glass, Staind x2 (sans King of All Excuses), again other songs from some of the forgotten artists, at least one of the Audioslave songs (particularly Out of Exile)
5) What songs do you think may surprise with their performance? On an Island? Not too sure about this one
6) What songs do you think may disappoint with their performance? Move

1) What songs do you expect to see in the top ten? Wasteland, Vicarious, Hole in the Earth, Joker and the Thief, Wings of a Butterfly, and Woman are the ones I feel pretty confident will make it. 2) What songs do you expect to see in the bottom ten? I'll have the quesadilla. 3) What songs will have the highest standard deviations? Welcome Home and The Suffering 4) What songs will have the lowest standard deviations? Joker and the Thief? not sure 5) What songs do you think may surprise with their performance? I could see Pearl Jam doing vastly better here. 6) What songs do you think may disappoint with their performance? Coheed will probably fall flat.

Could "On an Island" surprise with its performance? It was certainly my favorite first listen.

Could "On an Island" surprise with its performance? It was certainly my favorite first listen. It sounded like vintage Pink Floyd, which was pretty awesome. "Dirthouse" was my favorite first listen, though.

By the way, I'm expecting my #1 and #5 to both die in the bottom half.

Pretty strong turnout for Active, certainly stronger than the turnout for the last time I hosted an Active rankdown. Poor 2009...
It's time to begin! We start, of course, with #100. This song was seemingly doomed from the start, pretty much being in the bottom ten the entire rankdown. This song suffered the ultimate embarrassment by ending up at the #100 spot by the sixth ranking, and it would wind up being at the #100 spot for thirteen of the last fourteen rankings. As you'd imagine, this was the song that spent the most time at #100.
A couple of you will already be losing top 50 rankings, with one of you losing a top 20 ranking. Thirteen posters will be losing a bottom ten here, on the other hand, with eleven of those rankings being bottom fives. Multiple people will also lose their #100.

We lose our first Alt crossover at #99. This was another song that was in the bottom ten pretty much the entire time. Once again, we have a song that reached their lowest point with the sixth ranking. It was able to escape this spot briefly, but it would wind up coming back to the "friendly" confines of #99 and stay there for the last eight rankings.
This song only has two top 50 rankings, and none are even top 30 rankings. Only one less person put this song in their bottom ten (twelve), with nine people losing bottom five rankings. Interestingly, however, no one loses a #100 here...but at least one of you is about to feel a little perfection.

99. Inside of You - Hoobastank I know why you guys hate this one. I actually put it a bit higher this time. Sounds like they impersonate Maroon 5 grooves. That's why I dug it.

#98 will see one band, a band with multiple songs in this rankdown, have their worst-ever performance in a rock chart rankdown. This song didn't start off TOO terribly, hanging around in the 75-90 range at first. And then, the deluge of low rankings really began, and it found itself in the bottom ten. After a brief moment where it looked like it might escape the bottom ten, it got brought down hard by the final five rankings, sealing its fate.
Two posters lose a top 50 ranking here, with one losing a top 20. It is not someone who has suffered a big loss so far. Eight posters lose a bottom ten here, meanwhile, with four of those rankings being a bottom five ranking. And yes, there's at least one perfect ranking here, too...
